Granollers opens the process to fill the head of systems section position

The Granollers City Council has opened a priority procedure to fill a position as head of the information systems section, assigned to group A, subgroup A2, according to the announcement published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Barcelona (BOPB) on August 28, 2026. The position, which will be filled through an interim appointment in a vacant post, offers a gross annual salary of €46,757.84 and a planned start date in October 2026.
The call is framed within Article 10 of the City Council’s general bases, which regulate the selection processes for temporary contracts and appointments. Position Characteristics and Requirements
The job requires a working day of 37.5 hours per week during morning hours, with a rotating on-call service. Candidates must meet a series of access requirements:
- University degree in computer engineering, telecommunications, or equivalent.
- C1 level certificate in Catalan.
- Professional experience in the functions specific to the position, preferably within the field of public administration.
Special value will be placed on training in ICT service management (ITIL or equivalents) and project management, as well as knowledge of systems and network administration, ICT infrastructures, cybersecurity and the National Security Framework (ENS), operating systems and databases, and coordination of work teams.
Section Functions
The selected person will collaborate with the Head of Service in the preparation of the department’s annual budget and will draft the procurement specifications for outsourced services, acting as the interlocutor with companies supplying ICT equipment, software, and services. Their main tasks include:
- Supervising, administering, and maintaining the municipal ICT infrastructure, promoting improvements in performance, availability, capacity, and security.
- Planning and coordinating the implementation of the Corporation’s technical security measures and the ENS.
- Coordinating the management of cybersecurity incidents and collaborating in the risk analysis of information systems.
- Advising municipal services on ICT infrastructure and information security.
- Managing the material warehouse and the inventory of ICT assets assigned to the section.
Deadlines and Selection Procedure
The registration period on the web platform “CURRICULUM: register your data” ends 3 business days starting from the day after its publication in the BOPB. Interested parties must submit an electronic application via the Electronic Office, within the “Work at the City Council” section, selecting process 11/2026/13, and must be registered in the Curriculum section with an updated CV, degrees, Catalan language certificate, and employment history. Registration is free.
Once the deadline has passed, a maximum of 5 people will be chosen by lottery from all registered applicants who meet the requirements, who will proceed to a competency evaluation interview. The announcement is signed by Elena Fuentes López, Director of Legal Services, by delegation of signature, dated August 26, 2026.
