Gradefes opens its traffic and parking ordinance for public consultation
Por FactBox Admin

The Gradefes City Council is submitting its new Municipal Ordinance Regulating traffic, parking, use of public roads, circulation, and road safety for public review for thirty days. The Entity’s Plenary provisionally approved the text in an ordinary session held on October 6, 2026, and the announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of León no. 195, dated October 14, 2026, with the official reference BOP-LE-2026-195008. During this period, any interested party may examine the file and submit any claims they deem appropriate.
The processing complies with the provisions of Article 17.2 of the Recast Text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5. The file was instructed by the competent services of the Gradefes City Council itself, and the announcement is signed by the mayor, David Sánchez Ferreras, on October 9, 2026.
Scope of the new regulation
The ordinance covers five areas declared in its own title: traffic, parking, use of public roads, circulation, and road safety. This is the first comprehensive municipal regulation on these matters that the Gradefes City Council is submitting for public exhibition in the current fiscal year.
The text affects all residents and drivers within the municipal district, which includes the entities of Carbajal de Rueda, Gradefes, Nava de los Caballeros, Valdealcón, Villacil, Villacidayo, and Villanofar, according to the electoral census published in the same provincial gazette on October 12, 2026 (reference BOP-LE-E-2026-002001).
The regulation follows other municipal procedures regarding public roads, such as the public information regarding the official naming of “Calle Prolongación Calle El Molino,” processed in September 2026 under reference BOP-LE-2026-178004.
Deadlines and channels for appeals
- Public information period: thirty days, counted from the day following the insertion of the announcement in the Official Gazette of the Province of León.
- Examination of the file: municipal offices of the Gradefes City Council.
- Electronic consultation: municipal electronic office, under the Transparency Portal, Regulations section.
- Submission of claims: those that interested parties deem appropriate before the City Council itself.
- Effect of silence: if no claims are submitted after the deadline, the agreement will be considered definitively approved without the need for a new pronouncement.
A day with six files from Gradefes
The announcement of the traffic ordinance shares a page and gazette with five other files from the same City Council, all of which derive from the plenary session of October 6, 2026:
- Initial approval of credit modification no. 5/2026, in the form of a credit supplement, with fifteen days of public information (BOP-LE-2026-195006).
- Initial approval of the General Budget for the 2027 fiscal year, displayed for fifteen days (BOP-LE-2026-195007).
- Provisional approval of the modification of the municipal Ordinance on plot cleaning and fencing, with thirty days of public information (BOP-LE-2026-195009).
- Extrajudicial recognition of credits no. 02/2026, with fifteen days of public display (BOP-LE-2026-195010).
- Extrajudicial recognition of credits no. 03/2026, with fifteen days of public display (BOP-LE-2026-195011).
Impact for residents
The ordinance establishes for the first time in a single text the rules for circulation, parking, and use of the road network in a municipality with dispersed nuclei, where the coexistence between motorized traffic and public spaces is a daily concern. The thirty-day period is the only formal opportunity for residents and drivers to correct or refine the content before its final approval, which will occur automatically if no objections are raised.
