GMTK Multi-Process Machining enters insolvency proceedings and closes its registration sheet

The Official Gazette of the Mercantile Registry (BORME) publishes this Friday, October 9, 2026, in issue number 196, the declaration of voluntary bankruptcy with the opening of the liquidation phase of GMTK Multi-Process Machining, S.A., a company from Gipuzkoa whose sole administrator was the Fundación Tekniker. The announcement, with reference BORME-A-2026-196-20 and published on page 47412 of the First Section, also includes the conclusion of the proceedings due to insufficiency of active assets and the provisional closure of the registry file. Both resolutions originate from the Commercial Section of the Court of First Instance of Donostia/San Sebastián, court number 1.

The proceedings, identified as 158/2026, are being processed before that judicial body, presided over by Judge Pedro José Malagón Ruiz. The declaration of voluntary bankruptcy is final and was issued on June 25, 2026; the order of conclusion, also final, is dated September 10, 2026. The BORME reports both milestones in the same edition, with registry data corresponding to file S 8, H SS 28420, entries I/A 39 and I/A 40, both recorded on September 28, 2026.

The company already appears in the gazette under the name GMTK Multi-Process Machining, S.A. in liquidation, reflecting the dissolution agreed upon within the bankruptcy proceedings themselves.

Voluntary bankruptcy and opening of liquidation

Announcement 450419 details that the order declaring voluntary bankruptcy agreed upon the appointment of a bankruptcy administrator, the opening of the liquidation phase, the removal of the administrative body, and the dissolution of the company. Consequently, the removal of the sole administrator, Fundación Tekniker, and the suspension of the debtor’s administration and disposal powers were registered.

The appointed bankruptcy administrator is Javier Ochoa de Zuazola Mugica, with NIF/CIF 16261563B, appointed on June 25, 2026.

Conclusion due to insufficiency of assets and registry closure

Announcement 450420 contains the order for the conclusion of the bankruptcy due to insufficiency of active assets, issued on September 10, 2026, which agrees to the conclusion of the bankruptcy proceedings, the termination of the bankruptcy administration, and the provisional closure of the company’s registry file under Article 485 of the Recast Text of the Bankruptcy Law. The termination of the limitations on administration powers and the revocation of the bankruptcy administrators are also registered.

Background: from Maher Holding to Fundación Tekniker

The link between the Fundación Tekniker and the company is not new. In November 2015, it appeared as a joint administrator alongside Grupo Maherholding, S.A., and in September 2024, the BORME registered the change from joint administrators to a sole administrator, with the removal of Maher Holding, S.A. and the appointment of the Fundación Tekniker (entry I/A 37, dated September 4, 2024). Later in 2026, on July 24, the bulletin published the reelection of LKS Auditores SLP as the company’s auditor (entry I/A 38, dated July 17, 2026).

The company’s registration history also includes a capital increase subscribed in March 2009 for 1,045,000.00 euros, which raised the resulting capital to 1,645,000.00 euros.

The closure of GMTK Multi-Process Machining, S.A. affects the fabric of the Basque auxiliary industry as well as the creditors and employees of a company held by a leading technological center such as the Fundación Tekniker. The simultaneous publication of the declaration and the conclusion of the insolvency proceedings confirms that the procedure has been resolved without assets to cover the credits; therefore, the registration record is provisionally closed and the company is extinguished without a settlement phase.
