Girona appoints dozens of career officials and police officers

The Girona City Council has made public several appointments of career civil servants affecting the municipal staff, with economic and administrative effects starting from July 1, 2026. The agreements, adopted by the Department of Human Resources Management, are published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Girona (no. 171, of September 4, 2026), with the official reference BOP-2026_0_171_7682.

The publication is made in accordance with Article 82 of Decree 214/1990, of July 30, which approves the Personnel Regulations for the service of local entities. The appointments are formalized through about twenty Mayoral decrees, electronically signed by Mayor Lluc Salellas i Vilar on August 27, 2026, and cover both new hires and permanent internal promotions.

Local police officers and corporals

The most visible bulk of the appointments corresponds to the local police, with five officers from the special administration scale, special services subgroup, local police class, effective from July 1, 2026:

• Achraf Kharraz Bahri (Decree 2026024081)
• Sergi Tro Agulló (Decree 2026024083)

Additionally, two corporals are appointed on a permanent basis, effective from July 13, 2026: Dàlia Cordon Aurich (Decree 2026025231) and Marc Daumal Gubau (Decree 2026025239). These appointments reinforce citizen security and the chain of command of the municipal force.

Technical and management positions

A second block of decrees consolidates technical and management positions, effective from July 1 and 2, 2026. Among the additions, specialized profiles stand out such as:

• Maria Neus Font del Val, intermediate-level technician (Decree 2026021312)
• Laura Mascort Tomàs, environmental services engineer (position A1060)
• Susanna Vihé Soliva, environmental health and quality technician (position A1110)
• Berta Subirats Viñas, Sergi Garcia Casas and Meritxell Perich Capdeferro, psychologists of the Socio-Educational Intervention Service (position A1124)
• Tatiana Guerrero Muñoz and Rosor Riera Diumenjó, psychologists of the EAIA (position A1066)
• Daniel Planella Oriol, architect (position A1002)

Decrees 2026023542 and 202602292 group dozens of positions for social workers, social educators, early childhood education teachers, nurses, and management technicians, assigned to specific positions in the municipal job registry.

Trades, assistants, and subordinates

The largest quantitative bulk corresponds to the special administration scales (special services-trades) and general (auxiliary and subordinate), effective from July 2, 2026. Decrees 2026023792, 2026023952, 2026024384, 2026024386, and 2026024155 consolidate positions for foremen, officials, crew leaders, assistant foremen, civic agents, concierges, messengers, driver-operators, and administrative assistants, assigned to locations such as codes C2045, C2048, C2017, AP003, or AP018.

Finally, decrees 2026023541, 2026023940, 2026023942, 2026024971, 2026025666, and 2026025741, effective from July 6 to 15, and decrees 2026023937 to 2026024182, effective from July 20, complete the package with positions for draftsmen, early childhood education technicians, social integrators, workshop teachers at the Municipal School of Art, and administrative assistants.

The set of appointments definitively consolidates a significant part of the municipal workforce of Girona, at a time of renewal for the local police and reinforcement of social, technical, and administrative services. For citizens, publication in the official bulletin guarantees transparency and legal certainty in the City Council’s selection and internal promotion processes.
