Girona approves renovating the Güell river footbridges for 251,563 euros

The Local Governing Board of the Girona City Council has approved the modification of the conservation works project for the Balandrau and Bastiments footbridges over the Güell river, for an amount of 251,563.08 euros. The agreement was adopted in the ordinary session on October 2, 2026, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Girona no. 199, dated October 15, 2026, with edict number 8690 and official reference BOP-2026_0_199_8690.

The project is identified by file 2024018929 and aims for the conservation of two footbridges that cross the Güell river. Deadlines to appeal the resolution

According to the edict, the resolution ends the administrative route and can be challenged through two means.

• Optional appeal for reversal before the same body that issued the act, within a period of one month from the day following the receipt of the notification, in accordance with articles 123 and 124 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the common administrative procedure of public administrations.
• Contentious-administrative appeal before the contentious-administrative Section of the Court of First Instance of Girona, within a period of two months, in accordance with article 46 of Law 29/1998, of July 13, on contentious-administrative jurisdiction.
• If the appeal for reversal is chosen, the contentious-administrative appeal cannot be filed until the former has been expressly resolved or a dismissal by silence has occurred.

The approved modification provides financial coverage for the conservation of two footbridges of the municipal infrastructure over the Güell river, with an amount exceeding 250,000 euros. The simultaneous publication in the provincial bulletin, the official journal of the Generalitat, and the electronic notice board opens the period of public information and appeal for any interested person, and allows the residents of Girona to follow the execution of a relevant investment in fluvial public works.
