Getafe announces 41,600 euros in prizes for educational projects by associations

The Getafe City Council has announced awards totaling 41,600 euros destined for educational projects developed by associations of mothers, fathers, and families of public centers and by entities working with children and adolescents at risk. The summary of the call is published in the Official Gazette of the Community of Madrid number 232, dated September 29, 2026, section III of Local Administration, page 173, with the official reference BOCM-20260929-52 and code BDNS 925017. The resolution is signed by the mayor, Sara Hernández Barroso, and is dated in Getafe on September 24, 2026.

The publication is carried out in accordance with the provisions of articles 17.3.b) and 20.8.a) of the General Subsidies Law 38/2003, of November 17, which requires the publication of a summary of aid calls via an announcement in the corresponding official gazette. The rules governing the granting are the General Ordinance for the Granting of Subsidies of the Getafe City Council, published in the Official Gazette of the Community of Madrid number 112, dated May 13, 2013.

Purpose and Recipients

The purpose of the call is the granting of awards for the development of educational projects carried out by associations of mothers, fathers, and families in public educational centers in Getafe, as well as by associations that have developed educational actions or intervened with children and adolescents at risk or with special educational needs.

The recipients of the subsidies are:

• Associations of mothers, fathers, and families whose scope of action is public formal education centers.
• Associations that intervene with children and adolescents at risk.
• Associations that work with minors with special educational needs.

The awarded projects must have been developed between September 1, 2025, and July 31, 2026, as specified in the published summary.

Budgetary Allocation and Regulatory Bases

The call has a budgetary allocation of 41,600.00 euros (forty-one thousand six hundred euros), an amount that will be distributed among the selected projects in accordance with the General Ordinance for the Granting of Subsidies of the Getafe City Council.

The applicable regulatory framework is completed by the General Subsidies Law 38/2003, of November 17, expressly invoked in the announcement as the basis for the publication of the summary.

Deadline and Submission of Applications

The application period is 20 business days starting from the day following the publication of the summary of the guidelines in the Official Gazette of the Community of Madrid, that is, starting from September 30, 2026.

Interested entities must submit their applications through the channels enabled by the Getafe City Council, whose notice board and website contain both the full text of the call and information regarding the procedure.

The call opens a direct funding route for the educational associative fabric of Getafe, in a context where AMPAs (Parents’ Associations) and social intervention entities sustain a large part of the complementary activities of public centers. The 41,600 euros allow for the recognition and reinforcement of initiatives already executed during the 2025-2026 academic year, making the 20-business-day deadline decisive for the associations wishing to apply.
