Gata de Gorgos issues 1,532 consumption vouchers of 150 euros

The Local Governing Board of Gata de Gorgos has announced the grants for citizens of the Targeta Bo Consum 2026 campaign, under a competitive bidding process and with a maximum allocation of 137,880.00 euros. The agreement was adopted on October 14, 2026, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Alicante (BOP) number 196, dated October 15, 2026, section III (Local Administration), under announcement number 7907 and identifier BDNS 935161. The call provides for the circulation of 1,532 cards with a nominal value of 150 euros each.

The regulatory bases were approved by agreement of the Local Governing Board on October 7, 2026, and were published in the BOP number 192, dated October 8, 2026 (announcement 7775). The campaign is financed through budget application 05.4312.48000 of the 2026 municipal budget and has the support of the Provincial Council of Alicante, which granted the municipality a subsidy of 137,886.00 euros via a resolution published in the BOP number 183, dated September 25, 2026, within the call of the BOP number 137, dated August 23, 2026. The announcement is signed by the mayor-president, Antonio José Signes Costa.

A 150-euro card with a 90-euro municipal subsidy

Each card has a nominal value of 150 euros, of which 90 euros correspond to the municipal contribution as a subsidy and the remaining 60 euros are paid by the beneficiary. Management is channeled through the Creama-Gata Local Development Agency and the prepaid card is issued by Caixa Popular.

Requirements for residents and prior appointment

Beneficiaries may be natural persons over 18 years of age registered in Gata de Gorgos as of October 12, 2026, who comply with article 13 of the General Subsidies Law 38/2003, of November 17, and are up to date with their obligations to the State Tax Administration Agency, the General Treasury of the Social Security, and the city council itself.

The application requires a prior appointment via the link that will be enabled on the municipal website (www.gatadegorgos.org). The period will remain open until appointments and available cards are exhausted, and the purchase is formalized in person at the municipal offices, using a credit or debit card, and providing the required identification documentation. Each person may collect their own card and up to three additional cards for other people, provided they have written authorization according to the model in Annex II and a copy of the DNI. The cards are bearer cards, without a PIN or chip, and operate via magnetic stripe.

Business adherence until October 27

Interested establishments must join the campaign from the day following the publication of the summary in the National Subsidies Database (Base de Datos Nacional de Subvenciones) until October 27, 2026, through the procedure enabled on the municipal electronic office. Self-employed workers and micro-enterprises with an open establishment within the municipal district, registration in the economic activities tax, and a maximum of ten full-time or equivalent employees may participate.

• Technical requirement: have a POS terminal or dataphone with a stripe reader for the cards.
• Excluded, among others, are tobacco shops, street vending, mail or catalog sales, financial institutions, recreational services, and lottery and betting activities.

Consumption until November 30

The balance of 150 euros may be spent starting November 1, 2026, at participating establishments, in one or several purchases and at one or several shops, combining the card with other means of payment if the balance does not cover the price. The cards will expire on November 30, 2026, at 11:59 PM, and any unspent balance will not be returned to the holder, but will instead be reintegrated into the Ajuntament de Gata de Gorgos. The instructing body is the Regidoria de Comerç and the resolution corresponds to the Junta de Govern Local, with a valuation commission chaired by the Secretaria General.

The call injects 137,880 euros of direct spending into the commerce, hospitality, and services of Gata de Gorgos in the middle of the autumn campaign, with an immediate effect for residents—who double their purchasing power by contributing 60 euros—and for the small establishments of the municipality, which have until October 27 to join the campaign.
