Garganta la Olla and Robledollano approve their forest fire plans

Por FactBox Admin

The city councils of Garganta la Olla and Robledollano have definitively approved their Municipal Action Plans against the Risk of Forest Fires (PAMIF), civil protection instruments that provide both Cáceres municipalities with an organizational and operational framework for fires in a high-risk province. The agreements are published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cáceres number 0162, dated Tuesday, August 25, 2026, in Section I of Local Administration.

The PAMIF is a municipal technical planning and action instrument regarding civil protection and forest fires, of an organizational and operational nature, which is integrated into the civil protection and forest fire prevention planning system of the Autonomous Community of Extremadura. Its approval strengthens the local response capacity against a risk that is particularly acute in the north of the province.

Relevance for residents and summer visitors

The approval of both PAMIFs reinforces the prevention and coordination of the response to forest fires in two municipalities in northern Cáceres, a region of high risk and significant summer influx. For residents and summer visitors, these plans mean greater foresight in the mobilization of resources and in the protection of urban centers and natural spaces in the event of an emergency.
