Friol approves credits for 37,000 euros and readjusts the budget

The Friol City Council has definitively approved credit modification file number 5/2026, the second within the competence of the Plenary, intended for extraordinary credit and credit supplements and financed by credit transfers within the current municipal budget. The agreement was adopted by the Plenary in an ordinary session held on June 25, 2026, for a total amount of 37,000.00 euros, and its official publication is made public in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lugo number 188, of August 19, 2026, with reference R. 2222.

The modification is processed under the provisions of article 177.2 in relation to 169.3 of Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5, which approves the revised text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries. The announcement, signed on August 11, 2026, by the mayor, José Ángel Santos Sánchez, includes the new summary by chapters of the budget expenditure status, which stands at a total sum of 6,311,772.62 euros.

The new expenditure status

After the modification, the municipal budget of Friol is distributed in the following chapters:

• Personnel expenses: 1,434,965.00 €
• Current expenses in goods and services: 3,137,343.89 €
• Financial expenses: 14,682.49 €
• Current transfers: 161,578.08 €
• Real investments: 1,497,065.46 €
• Capital transfers: 66,137.70 €
• Financial assets: 0.00 €
• Financial liabilities: 0.00 €

The total sum of the expenditure status amounts to 6,311,772.62 euros.

Modification of the investment annex

In addition to the adjustment of expenditure items, the approved file modifies the investment annex of the budget, which directly affects the planning of works and actions planned by the council. The financing of the modification is carried out through credit transfers, without the need to resort to new sources of income.

The announcement is published for general knowledge and effects, in compliance with local regime regulations, and closes the public exhibition process of the file.

The definitive approval of this credit modification allows the Friol City Council to adjust its budget to unforeseen needs and provide economic coverage for specific actions, including those listed in the investment annex.
