Friol contributes 600 euros to Gaelic football transport at the European Féile

The Plenary of the Friol City Council approved in its extraordinary session on August 13, 2026, a nominative grant of 600 euros to the Galician Gaelic Football Association to cover part of the transport costs for the youths who participated in the European Féile. The agreement, subject to public exhibition for fifteen days, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lugo number 191, dated August 22, 2026 (reference R. 2251).

The aid is part of the modification of the annex of nominative grants of the municipal budget, processed under the budget execution bases. The Mayor’s Office issued a provision to initiate the processing of the payment of the economic collaboration following the letter submitted by the association, in which the contribution was requested to cover part of the travel costs of the local delegation.

A nominative grant of 600 euros

The approved amount, 600 euros, is intended to cover part of the transport costs for the youths who participated in the European Féile of Gaelic football. The grant is integrated into the city council’s annex of nominative grants, which the Plenary modified in the extraordinary session of August 13, as there is sufficient budget credit according to the provisions of the budget execution bases.

The decision represents the recognition of a direct economic collaboration with a sports entity, without the need for a competitive call, as it is a nominative grant provided for in the municipal budget.

Processing and public exhibition

The adopted agreement is provisional and is subject to the public exhibition process for a period of fifteen days, counted from the publication of the announcement in the Official Gazette of the Province. If no claims are presented within the aforementioned period, the agreement will be understood as definitively adopted.

The European Féile
