France raises overseas solidarity income to 613.78 euros

The French Government has revalued the monthly revenu de solidarité paid in the overseas territories, setting it at 613.78 euros for allocations due from April 2026. The measure is enacted by Décret n° 2026-799 du 18 août 2026, published in the Journal officiel de la République française (JORF n° 0192) of 19 August 2026.

The decree, signed on 18 August 2026 under the authority of the Ministère des outre-mer, updates the amount of the solidarity income provided for in Article L. 522-14 of the code de l’action sociale et des familles. It applies to beneficiaries in Guadeloupe, Guyane, Martinique, La Réunion and the collectivities of Saint-Barthélemy, Saint-Martin and Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon.

Scope of the revaluation

The new monthly amount of 613.78 euros replaces the previous level of the benefit and takes effect for allocations due as of the month of April 2026. The revaluation is a direct social-assistance measure aimed at supporting the most vulnerable households in the French overseas territories.

The territories covered by the decree are:

• Martinique
• La Réunion
• Saint-Barthélemy
• Saint-Martin
• Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon

Legal and administrative framework

The decree is issued under the responsibility of the Ministère des outre-mer, with a NOR reference of MOMO2608909D. Its execution is entrusted to the ministre du travail et des solidarités and the ministre des outre-mer, each for the matters within their remit.

The text amends the reference amount set out in the code de l’action sociale et des familles, which governs the solidarity income scheme for the overseas departments and collectivities. The revaluation follows the standard annual adjustment of this benefit, which is indexed to support the purchasing power of recipients in territories where the cost of living is often higher than in metropolitan France.
