Por FactBox Admin

The Foz City Council has approved the final list of admitted and excluded candidates for the competitive examination (concurso-oposición) called to fill one position for administrative assistant as permanent contractual staff, full-time, with RPT code 6025. The mayoral resolution, signed on September 8, 2026, also appoints the qualifying tribunal and schedules the first exercise for Thursday, September 24, 2026.
The call is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lugo number 211, dated Tuesday, September 15, 2026, within the personnel selection and post-provision procedure, with reference R. 2429 and file 2276/2023.
A process started in 2024
The selection process began with the mayoral resolution approving the bases on December 17, 2024, which governs the provision of the position through the competitive examination system. Following the publication of the provisional resolution, a period of ten business days was opened for excluded candidates to correct the defects that led to their exclusion or to present allegations.
Once the amendment requests were examined, the mayor’s office upheld those that provided the required documentation within the deadline and in the correct form, and dismissed those that were not amended or whose reason for exclusion was not rectifiable, in accordance with Law 7/1985, of April 2, regulating the Bases of Local Regime.
Final list of admitted and excluded candidates
The final list includes 27 admitted candidates and 3 excluded. Almost all admitted candidates are exempt from the Galician language test, except for Sonia Fernández Álvarez, who is listed as non-exempt.
The reasons for the exclusion of the three candidates are as follows:
- Alfonso Álvarez Sixto: failure to present proof of payment of fees (base 5.d).
- Dolores Labrada Labrada: incomplete or incorrect payment of the fee (base 5.d).
- Larissa Magali Cantero Benítez: failure to correct the lack of a certified or authentic copy within the deadline.
Qualifying tribunal and first exercise
The resolution appoints the tribunal in charge of judging the selection process, according to the principles of specialty and impartiality:
- President: Pilar López Pérez, culture technician of the Foz City Council; substitute, Cándido Nazario Rodríguez Gil, head of collection.
- Member: Hugo García Presno, director of the Ribadeo Music School; substitute, Carmen Seco Alejos, social educator.
- Member: María Fé Rouco Caserío, tourism technician; substitute, Mónica Irimia Labrada, multi-service assistant.
- Member: María Carmen López Cuadrado, administrative assistant; substitute, Pilar Bouso Leiras.
- Secretary: Ana María Pérez Moreda, administrative assistant; substitute, Cristina Balseiro Fernández, management technician.
The tribunal will be constituted on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at 09:30 hours, and the first exercise will be held at 10:00 hours on the same day at the Nave de Formación do Concello de Foz, in the Fazouro industrial estate, Foz Business Park. The test will be conducted in a single call, meaning that applicants who do not appear will be excluded from the competition, except in cases of force majeure duly accredited and freely assessed by the tribunal.
A key position for municipal staff
The resolution was signed by the mayor, Francisco Cajoto Caserío, and certified by the acting secretary, María Luz Balsa Rábade, and is published in the BOP, on the notice board, and on the council’s electronic headquarters. For the 27 admitted applicants, the call on September 24 marks the effective start of a process that will decide the incorporation of a new administrative assistant to the municipal staff of Foz.
