Four lawyers deposit their appointments with Civilstyrelsen

Four Danish lawyers have deposited their practising certificates (advokatbeskikkelser) with the Civilstyrelsen, the agency that administers the legal profession, thereby ceasing to practise law. The notices were published in Statstidende of 2 September 2026, in the section Diverse · Afskedigelser og udnævnelser (Miscellaneous · Dismissals and appointments).

Depositing a certificate with the Civilstyrelsen is the formal step by which a lawyer gives up the right to practise, and the effective dates range from 25 August to 1 October 2026. The publication serves as official notice to clients, courts and counterparties that the lawyers concerned no longer hold practising rights.

The lawyers concerned

• Pernille Høstrup Dalhoff, cand.jur., Frederiksberg — certificate of 15.02.2002, deposited with effect from 01.10.2026.
• Steen Petersen, cand.jur., Holte — certificate of 01.07.1982, deposited with effect from 25.08.2026.
• Simone Sulkjær Rasmussen, cand.jur., København — certificate of 25.03.2022, deposited with effect from 29.08.2026.
• Jasper Sparre-Enger Lyngsig, cand.jur., København — certificate of 02.03.2020, deposited with effect from 01.09.2026.

What the deposit means

Each notice identifies the lawyer by name, academic title (cand.jur.) and place of residence, together with the date of the original certificate and the date from which the deposit takes effect. The certificates span more than four decades, from Steen Petersen’s 1982 appointment to Simone Sulkjær Rasmussen’s 2022 appointment, reflecting lawyers at very different stages of their careers.

The deposit takes effect on the stated date regardless of when the notice is published, so the earliest of the four lawyers, Steen Petersen, had already ceased practice on 25 August 2026, while Pernille Høstrup Dalhoff will only cease on 1 October 2026.
