The Provincial Treasury will sell a house in Ribeira to settle debts

The Provincial Treasury of Bizkaia has put up for sale a dwelling located in the parish of Palmeira, Ribeira (A Coruña), to offset tax debts, with a valuation of 133,000 euros. The sale notice was published in issue number 171 of the Boletín Oficial de Bizkaia on September 8, 2026, and interested parties have a period of 15 calendar days to request information. The announcement was signed by the Department of Treasury and Finance of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia, by the head of the Executive Tax Collection Service in Bilbao, on August 31, 2026.

Legal basis for the free sale

The alienation is based on section 7 of article 176 of the Provincial Law 2/2005 of the General Tax of the Historical Territory of Bizkaia (of March 10). According to this provision, the Tax Administration may authorize taxpayers to sell assets that have been seized or constituted as security for debts, canceling the charges registered in their favor, even if they do not cover the entire debt, provided that the same publicity conditions established for a public auction are maintained.

The sale has been designated as “free,” and the announcement bears number 63/2026. Thanks to this procedure, the owner of the asset may alienate it themselves, instead of the administration placing it directly up for auction, provided the same publicity conditions are met.

Characteristics of the asset for sale

The asset offered for sale is a first-floor dwelling on Rúa do Norte, in a building that also faces Travesía do Barreiro street, and is identified with the letter “D”. The dwelling has a useful area of approximately 90.50 square meters and includes the following annexes:

• Parking space number 20, in the basement of Rúa do Norte, with a useful area of 12.98 square meters.
• Storage room number 23, also in the basement, with a useful area of 2.60 square meters.

The asset has a quota of 4.22%, and is registered as estate 31898 of Ribeira in the Property Registry of Noia. The right being alienated is 100% full ownership.

Interested parties may request information within 15 calendar days from the publication of the announcement in the Boletín Oficial de Bizkaia, by telephone at 946 083 817. The official reference of the announcement is BOB-2026a171-(I-1024), and it was published in section I, under the section of the Provincial Administration of the Historical Territory of Bizkaia.

This sale is part of the executive tax collection procedures and is one of the means the administration uses to recover debts. The valuation of the dwelling is 133,000 euros, and through the free sale, the taxpayers themselves can manage the alienation of the asset under the supervision of the administration.
