The Fornes City Council has announced a competitive tender for the administrative concession for the private use of the public domain asset “Bar Cafetería de Fornes”, a premises of 83.8 m² with a 100.6 m² outdoor terrace located on Mariana Pineda Street in the municipality of Fornes (Granada). The call was approved by Mayoral Resolution No. 162/2026, dated September 10, 2026, and published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Granada No. 181, dated September 18, 2026, with reference BOP-GRA-2026-181019. The minimum annual fee is set at 3,700 euros and the concession will have a duration of three years.
The announcement falls under Local Administration and implements the Mayoral resolution signed by Ana Belén Fernández Navas, which orders the opening of the tender process to award the private use of the municipal property. The concession will be governed by the Specifications Document approved by the Fornes City Council, a document that outlines the award criteria and the obligations of the future concessionaire.
Object and economic conditions
The purpose of the call is the operation of the municipal bar-cafeteria, with the following characteristics:
- Name: “Bar Cafetería de Fornes”.
- Location: Mariana Pineda Street, municipality of Fornes (Granada).
- Area: 83.8 m² of bar-cafeteria premises and 100.6 m² of outdoor terrace.
- Award procedure: competitive tender.
- Minimum annual fee: 3,700.00 euros.
- Duration: three years.
The Specifications Document is available on the electronic office of the Fornes City Council and, in person, at the municipal offices at Avenida de Andalucía, 1, during public office hours.
Mandatory visit and submission of bids
Attendance at the visit to the premises is mandatory and non-extendable for those wishing to participate in the bidding process:
- Date: September 24, 2026.
- Time: 12:30 PM.
- Location: Mariana Pineda Street, Fornes (Granada).
Attendance will be certified by a certificate issued on the spot by the Fornes City Council, which must be included in the proposal documentation. The lack of certified attendance will result in the automatic exclusion of the bidder, without the possibility of rectification.
The deadline for submitting proposals is thirty business days starting from the day following the mandatory visit, that is, from September 25, 2026, inclusive. Bids shall be submitted exclusively in person through the General Registry of the Fornes City Council, located at Avenida de Andalucía, 1, during office hours and until 2:00 PM on the final day of the period.
Opening of bids and award
Within ten business days following the conclusion of the submission period, the Tendering Board shall be constituted, which will convene the public opening act. During this act, the board will examine the administrative documentation of each bidder, evaluate the proposals according to the criteria of the Tender Specifications, and formulate the corresponding award proposal to the competent body.
The call is published for general knowledge and for the appropriate purposes, according to the announcement signed in Fornes on September 10, 2026.
The tender opens the door to entrepreneurs in the hospitality sector interested in operating a municipally-owned establishment in a small municipality, with a moderate starting fee and a three-year horizon. However, the requirement for a mandatory visit and the exclusively in-person submission of bids constrain the schedule of those wishing to participate: any interested party must reserve the morning of September 24 to prove their attendance or they will be excluded from the procedure.
