Fonollosa announces school grants for the 2026-2027 academic year with 10,000 euros

The Fonollosa City Council has approved, by agreement of the Local Governing Board on September 9, 2026, the regulatory bases and the call for individual grants for tuition, books and materials, activities, and school trips aimed at children and adolescents in the municipality for the 2026-2027 school year. The call is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Barcelona on September 15, 2026, with official reference CVE 202610140484.

The grants, which are voluntary and occasional in nature, are granted on a competitive basis and are limited by the municipal budget, endowed with 10,000.00 euros of credit in budget application 02/3231/48000. The document, consisting of four pages, was electronically signed by the mayor, Eloi Hernàndez i Mosella, on September 10, 2026.

Beneficiaries and admitted centers

Families with children registered as residents in Fonollosa who are pursuing compulsory studies in early childhood, primary, or secondary education at the municipality’s reference centers may apply for the grant:

• Rexics Nursery School
• CEIP Sant Jordi de Fonollosa
• IES Quercus, Sins Cardener
• Special education: AMPANS (Jeroni de Moragas School) of Santpedor

Other centers may be considered provided that the reason is duly justified.

Grant amounts

The call establishes two individual amounts based on the educational level:

• 80 euros for children and adolescents in the second cycle of early childhood education, primary, and secondary education
• 60 euros for children in the first cycle of early childhood education

The financial benefit cannot exceed the cost of the subsidized activity, and the amount may be revised based on budget availability.

Deadline and submission of applications

Applications may be submitted from the day after the publication of the announcement in the gazette until September 30, 2026, through two channels:

• Electronically, via the City Council’s electronic office, using a digital certificate or idCAT Mòbil
• On paper, at the City Council’s general registry or through any of the forms provided for in article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, of October 1

The application must be accompanied by a photocopy of the family book or analogous document, the DNI, NIE, or passport of the applicant and the child, and a responsible declaration stating that no other grant has been requested or obtained for the same purpose. If the documentation was already provided in previous calls and remains valid, it does not need to be submitted again.

Payment and justification

Once the granting resolution has been adopted, the amount is made effective in a single payment to the school where the beneficiary students are studying. If the cost of materials has been borne directly by the family and the school cannot justify it, the aid is paid to the family upon prior justification. Each educational center must present a certificate to the City Council with the list of beneficiary students and certify that the aid has been used for the granted purpose; otherwise, reimbursement may be required.

This call for applications represents direct support for families in Fonollosa to face the expenses of the start of the school year, in a context where materials, activities, and school trips represent a significant economic burden. Interested parties have just over two weeks to submit the application before the deadline closes on September 30.
