Folgoso do Courel expands the pool of home care assistants

The Folgoso do Courel City Council is expanding the opening of the temporary job pool for home help service assistants, a decision adopted by Mayoral Decree 2026-0256, dated August 27, 2026. The call is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lugo number 198, Monday, August 31, 2026, and opens a period of 10 calendar days to submit applications.

The measure, signed by the mayor-president, Dolores Castro Ochoa, has a dual objective: to call for the selection process to expand the existing pool and, at the same time, allow the updating of merits for those who are already part of it.

A renewing pool

The temporary job pool for home help service assistants was originally established by Decree dated 10/05/2023. With the new resolution, the City Council resumes the process to incorporate new candidates for these home care positions, a key service for the care of elderly and dependent people in the municipality.

The deadline for submitting applications is 10 calendar days, counted from the day following the publication of the announcement in the BOP of Lugo. The full terms of the call are available on the City Council’s electronic headquarters.
