Por FactBox Admin

GIE Flix Gestió d’Iniciatives Econòmiques, SAM has called for a merit-based competition to expand the current job bank for cleaners of the municipal spaces of the Flix City Council. The agreement of the company’s Board of Directors, adopted on September 28, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Tarragona on October 5, 2026, with edict number 1-2026 and reference CVE 2026-09189.
The call is part of the assignment that the Flix City Council made to GIE as its own means for the “Cleaning of municipal spaces” service, approved by Plenary agreement on December 23, 2020, for an amount of 983,016.00 euros and effective from January 1, 2021. The company accepted the assignment on December 30, 2020.
The current job bank was established on June 23, 2025, after the rules approved by the Board of Directors on May 9, 2025, replaced the first job bank, created on February 26, 2021, and exhausted on February 25, 2024. According to the file, the people in the job bank who are not working at GIE have been called and all have responded negatively, a fact that necessitates its expansion to address sick leaves and reductions in working hours.
One position in professional group VI with variable hours
- Professional group VI: cleaner of municipal spaces.
- Working day from Monday to Friday, with the percentage required at any given time.
- Contract duration coinciding with the service or the leave intended to be covered.
- The expansion will be added following the members of the current job bank and will have the same validity, until June 22, 2028.
Requirements and submission of applications
Applicants must meet the following requirements by the end of the deadline:
- Spanish nationality or nationality of a member state of the European Union, or of states with free movement of workers.
- Functional capacity for the tasks and not suffering from any illness or impairment that prevents them.
- Must be at least 16 years old and not exceed the compulsory retirement age.
- Must not have been dismissed through disciplinary proceedings nor disqualified from public employment.
- Basic level certificate of Catalan (A2) from the Permanent Board of Catalan or equivalent.
Applications must be submitted to the «la Ribera» Business Center of Flix, at carrer dels Tallers, 2 (43750 Flix), from Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 14:00 hours, within a non-extendable period of 20 calendar days from the publication of the rules on the GIE website. A curriculum vitae, proof of merits, employment history report, and, if applicable, documentation accrediting the level of Spanish must be attached.
Tests, merits, and qualifying tribunal
The selection process consists of two exercises and a merit phase:
- First exercise: Spanish language elimination test (200-word essay and conversation with the tribunal), only for those who do not prove B2 or C2 level.
- Second exercise: interview regarding suitability for the position, with a maximum of 3 points.
- Competition phase: Catalan B1 certificate (1 point) and work experience (up to 10 points), at a rate of 0.20 points per month in public administrations and 0.10 points per month in private companies.
The qualifying tribunal will be collegiate and will be composed of the cleaning service coordinator of GIE as president, two members appointed by GIE, and a secretary. The list of successful candidates will be published on the Flix GIE website, ordered by score, and a trial period of 60 days is established starting from the day after hiring. The edict is signed by the managing director Francesc Casals Rodes.
The expansion of the talent pool addresses the lack of availability of the people already listed and guarantees the continuity of the cleaning service for the municipal spaces of Flix, which GIE has provided since 2021. Interested applicants have 20 calendar days to submit their application once the rules are published on the company’s website.
