Fernando Sepúlveda Capacete, new head of management at the Regional Hospital of Málaga

The Andalusian Health Service (SAS) has made public the final resolution of the merit-based competition designating Fernando Sepúlveda Capacete as Head of the Management and Services Group of the Regional University Hospital of Málaga. The appointment is published in the Official Gazette of the Junta de Andalucía (BOJA) number 166, dated August 27, 2026, through a resolution from the General Directorate of Personnel of the SAS dated August 24, 2026.

The position, corresponding to an intermediate role with reference 9325, was announced by a resolution of the same General Directorate on June 15, 2026, published in BOJA number 116, dated June 18, 2026.

Regulatory Framework

The procedure is processed under Decree 132/2021, of April 6, which regulates the system for filling management positions and intermediate roles in the health centers of the Andalusian Health Service. The resolution falls within the Ministry of Presidency, Health, and Emergencies of the Junta de Andalucía.

The final resolution is issued following the evaluation of the applicants’ merits in the competition called to fill the management position at the Málaga hospital.

An administrative appeal (recurso de alzada) may be filed against the resolution before the competent General Directorate for personnel matters of the Andalusian Health Service, in accordance with ordinary administrative procedure.

Relevance

The appointment consolidates the filling of a key intermediate role in the management of one of the main hospitals of the Andalusian public health system, the Regional University Hospital of Málaga. Filling these positions through merit-based competitions ensures selection based on criteria of capacity and experience, within the framework of the SAS personnel policy for its health centers.
