The Fene City Council opens the call for grants under a competitive process for non-profit entities in the municipality, with a maximum allocation of 105,100.00 euros charged to the 2026 municipal budget. The call was approved by Mayor’s Resolution no. 765 of 06.16.2026 and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of A Coruña number 169, dated September 4, 2026, under announcement number 2026/5729.

The extract of the regulatory bases, the full text of which can be consulted in the National Grants Database (identifier BDNS 927219), is published in accordance with articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of the General Grants Law 38/2003, of November 17. The grants aim to contribute to the normal functioning of the associative fabric, the maintenance of facilities, and the carrying out of cultural, sporting, and educational activities.

Subsidized areas

The grants focus on three main blocks of activities, financed through budget applications 326/48901, 334/48901, and 341/48901:

  • Cultural activities: celebrations, exhibitions, contests, competitions, showcases, excursions, conferences, cultural schools, festivals and pilgrimages, as well as current operating expenses and maintenance of facilities.
  • Sporting activities: participation in championships, registration fees, collective travel, sports equipment, sports schools, and maintenance of facilities.
  • Educational activities: current operating expenses, organization of cultural and sports schools, excursions, festivals, and other activities of educational interest.

The amount of each grant may reach a maximum of 80% of the expenditure budget detailed in the application, while administrative management expenses will be 100% subsidizable.

Requirements and exclusions

Entities that are non-profit, have their headquarters and carry out their activities in the Municipality of Fene, are legally constituted and registered in the corresponding Registry of Associations and in the Municipal Registry of Neighborhood Associations, and are not subject to the causes of incompatibility provided for in article 13 of the General Grants Law, may apply for the grants.

Non-subsidizable expenses include, among others, the acquisition of inventoriable assets, financial, notary, and expert expenses, fines and sanctions, food (except typical products of traditional festivals), municipal taxes, and activities already subsidized in other calls when the amount reaches 100% of the action.

Application deadline

The deadline for submitting applications ends at 2:00 p.m. on the tenth calendar day counting from the day following the publication of the summary in the BOP, that is, September 14, 2026. Cultural entities and ANPAs (Parents’ Associations) may subsidize activities developed throughout the 2026 financial year, while sports entities also include expenses for the 2026-2027 season.

The call, signed by Mayor Alejandra Permuy Meizoso, represents an opportunity for the associative fabric of Fene to finance its ordinary operation and its activities of public interest, in a year in which the City Council allocates more than 105,000 euros to support local culture, sports, and education.
