Single-parent family decisions and documentation requests have been notified
Por FactBox Admin

The Directorate for Children, Adolescents and Families of the Basque Government has notified the resolutions of files and requests for documentation for those in a single-parent or single-parenthood situation, through two announcements published in the Official Gazette of the Basque Country (BOPV) issue of 2026-08-19. Both announcements were signed by director José María Ezkerra Fernández, on July 22, 2026, in Vitoria-Gasteiz.
Two announcements, two purposes
The first announcement (2026/3657) notifies requests for documentation: interested parties have a period of 10 days, counting from the day following the publication of the announcement in the Official State Gazette (BOE), to submit the requested documentation. The second announcement (2026/3658), on the other hand, notifies the resolutions of the files, and interested parties have a period of one month to file an administrative appeal (recurso de alzada) against the organization.
In both cases, after unsuccessful attempts at personal notification, the announcement was published in accordance with Article 44 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations. This means the notification will take effect from the day following its publication in the BOE.
Period and methods for submitting documentation
Interested parties who have received requests for documentation have 10 days, from that date forward, to submit the documentation. Submission can be made In person at the offices of the citizen service or at other locations specified in Article 16.4 of Law 39/2015.
- If the period expires and the documentation is not submitted, the interested party will be considered to have withdrawn from the request.
- Interested parties may obtain the file and full copies of the documents at the In person offices.
- They can also be obtained through the “My folder” section, on the electronic headquarters of the Public Administration of the Basque Country (https://www.euskadi.eus/mi-carpeta/).
Appeal against resolutions
The resolutions notified in announcement 2026/3658 do not exhaust the administrative route, and therefore an appeal may be filed before the Youth and Demographic Challenge (Department of Welfare, Youth and Demographic Challenge) within a period of one month, counting from the day following the publication in the BOE. This appeal is processed according to Articles 121 and 122 of Law 39/2015.
Interested parties
The DNI/NIF/NIE/passport numbers of the interested parties and the file references appear in the annexes of the announcements:
- 2026/3657 (documentation requests): 4 files (001668-FM-INS, 001715-FM-INS, 002041-FM-INS, 001987-FM-INS).
- 2026/3658 (resolutions): 7 files (001661-FM-INS, 002078-FM-INS, 003352-FM-INS, 002138-FM-INS, 002242-FM-INS, 002361-FM-INS, 002343-FM-INS).
Effect
These announcements are of great importance for citizens who wish to have their single-parent family status recognized, as this is the condition for obtaining benefits and aid. Those who do not submit the documentation within the deadline may lose their application, and the appeal against the resolutions also has a short deadline. Interested parties can obtain full information through the Zuzenean service or via the Mi carpeta section.
