Extremadura inicia los controles administrativos de la PAC 2026

The Regional Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Natural Environment of the Junta de Extremadura has announced the start of the Administrative Control Plan for the single applications corresponding to the 2026 campaign of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). The announcement, signed on September 11, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of Extremadura number 178, dated September 15, 2026, with reference 2026081529.

The plan is framed within Royal Decree 1048/2022, of December 27, which regulates the application of interventions in the form of direct payments and the common requirements of the CAP Strategic Plan, as well as the single application of the integrated management and control system. The measure affects all recipients of CAP aid in the region who have submitted a single application for the 2026 campaign.

Deadline for appeals and electronic channel

In the event of discrepancies detected during the controls, interested parties must respond by accessing the SGA Citizen Portal, at the address https://sga.juntaex.es/SgaGpi. The obligation to interact via electronic means applies to the subjects contemplated in sections 14.2 and 14.3 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations.

  • The deadline to present appeals and justifications is ten business days, counted from the day following the receipt of or access to the notification on the portal.
  • Documentation must be provided through the same portal, by submitting a request for appeals to the Single Application in the Administrative Management section.
  • The reason for the appeal must be selected according to the type of discrepancy detected.

Pending controls and non-electronic route

The Regional Ministry warns that other administrative controls are still pending. When these are completed and may result in negative discrepancies in the application, they will be communicated to the interested parties so that they may formulate the appeals and justifications they deem appropriate.

However, and in accordance with article 12.2 of Law 39/2015 and article 4 of Law 30/2022, of December 23, which regulates the CAP management system, the Regional Ministry will provide the necessary mechanisms to ensure the transmission of information by non-electronic means. This route is reserved for natural persons who are holders of agricultural holdings for whom the competent authority has not reliably verified that they have access to the necessary electronic means.

Nature of the act

The announcement specifies that the present act is a procedural step and that no administrative appeal may be filed against it. The document is signed in Mérida by the Head of the Sectoral Aid Service, Vicente Cruz Galeano.

The communication regarding the start of these controls is key for farmers in Extremadura, as compliance with the appeal deadlines affects the rectification of incidents and, ultimately, the payment of CAP subsidies for the 2026 campaign. Those who receive a notification must act swiftly to avoid the loss of payment rights.
