Extremadura begins the revocation of aid for five young farmers

Por FactBox Admin

The Regional Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Natural Environment of the Junta de Extremadura has initiated the procedure to revoke grants for the establishment of young farmers against five holders who failed to submit the payment application within the established deadlines. The agreement, adopted by resolution of the Director General of Community Agricultural Policy, is published in the Official Gazette of Extremadura number 161, dated August 20, 2026, via an announcement dated August 13, 2026 (reference 2026081417).

The announcement opens a hearing process so that the interested parties may file appeals and present the required documentation before the revocation of the granted aid is finalized.

Regulatory Framework

This action is supported by Decree 169/2024, of December 30, which establishes the regulatory bases and application rules for the grant scheme for the establishment of young farmers and for investments in the modernization or improvement of agricultural holdings in the Autonomous Community of Extremadura, as well as the first call for both lines.

Article 32.1 of the decree requires the payment application to be submitted within 15 days following the expiration of the planned deadlines, once the actions and expenses of the initial year of the business plan have been carried out. Paragraph 5 of the same article provides that, if the justification period expires without submission, the instructing body shall require the beneficiary to present it within a non-extendable period of ten business days, and that failure to submit or insufficient justification will lead to the revocation of the granting resolution.

The Five Affected Holders

In the files of the holders listed in the annex, the aforementioned deadlines have passed without the corresponding payment applications being submitted. The affected parties are:

  • Óscar Álvero Méndez (CIF *0248)
  • Lucas Ramos Soto (CIF *6657)
  • Ángel Caballero Baños (CIF *7938)
  • Francisco García Romero (CIF *6886)
  • Álvaro Valdastillas Neila (CIF *3845)

Hearing Process and Appeal Channels

Interested parties may become aware of the initiation agreement through individual notification processed via the LABOREO platform (laboreo.juntaex.es). Likewise, they may submit the required documentation through the ARADO platform (aradoacceso.juntaex.es), provided they have a digital certificate or electronic ID (DNIe).

The announcement, signed in Mérida on August 13, 2026, by the Head of the Structural Aid Service, Antonio Jesús Pi Pérez, is published in the bulletin in application of article 24 of the decree, which allows notifications to be made via announcement in the Official Gazette of Extremadura to provide greater effectiveness to communications with applicants.

Relevance to the sector

The revocation directly affects beneficiaries of the Extremaduran agricultural sector who, despite having been granted the establishment aid, have not justified the actions outlined in their business plan within the deadline. The hearing process constitutes the final opportunity for the five holders to present the documentation and avoid the definitive loss of the subsidy, in a context where generational renewal in the countryside is one of the priorities of regional agricultural policy.
