Extremadura corrects the quotas for European turtle dove for the 2026/2027 season.

The Official Gazette of Extremadura publishes this Thursday, August 13, 2026, in issue 156, the correction of errors to the resolution listing the hunting grounds covered by the adaptive management of the European turtle dove (Streptopelia turtur) and setting their capture quotas for the 2026/2027 season. The rectification, signed by the Directorate General for Hunting, Fishing, Aquaculture, Bullfighting and Natural Environment, adds to the annex the hunting ground EX-341-007-M with a quota of 50 specimens and republishes the full list. The document bears the official reference 2026062142.

The correction affects the Resolution of July 17, 2026, which made public the definitive list of Extremaduran hunting grounds that have complied with the measures provided for in the Resolution of March 23, 2026, adopting the principles of the adaptive management mechanism for the European turtle dove. The original list was published in DOE No. 143, of July 27, 2026, and the detected error was located on page 31309 of Annex 1, where the registration EX-341-007-M was omitted. In accordance with Article 109 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations, the rectification is signed in Mérida on August 10, 2026, by the Director General, María de las Mercedes Mazo Tomé.

The incorporated hunting ground and its quota

The correction orders the inclusion in Annex 1 of the hunting ground with registration number EX-341-007-M, to which a total of 50 turtle doves is assigned. With this incorporation, the registration appears as entry number 118 of the definitive list, located between EX-337-002-L and EX-386-005-P.

An annex republished with 137 hunting grounds

The DOE reproduces the complete annex with the correction made “for greater legal certainty.” The definitive list totals 137 hunting grounds with their final capture quota, ranging from the 25 specimens of EX-150-003-M to the 350 of EX-086-001-L.

• Highest quotas: EX-086-001-L (350), EX-017-001-L (261), EX-124-001-L (162) and EX-118-001-L (159).
• Lowest quotas: EX-150-003-M (25), EX-081-013-M and EX-085-042-M (26) and EX-107-003-P (27).
• The quota of 50 specimens for EX-341-007-M coincides with that assigned to other registrations such as EX-001-004-M, EX-085-040-M or EX-264-011-M.

Adaptive management and 2026/2027 season

The mechanism approved by Resolution of 23 March 2026 establishes the principles of adaptive management of the species, the capture quotas assigned to each hunting ground that complies with the measures, and the conditions that must be respected in order to hunt. The publication of the correction guarantees that hunting ground holders have the official quota before the start of the 2026/2027 season and avoids uncertainty regarding authorized captures.

The rectification has a direct effect on the Extremaduran hunting sector: hunting ground EX-341-007-M is officially authorized to capture up to 50 turtle doves, while the remaining licenses maintain the quotas already published. With the corrected annex, hunting grounds, hunters and administration agents have a single official and definitive reference for quotas, with full administrative validity for the entire season.
