Extremadura concede 203.528 euros a nueve proyectos contra la violencia de género

The General Secretariat for Equality and Conciliation of the Presidency of the Junta de Extremadura has granted 203,528.92 euros to nine entities to finance awareness and prevention projects regarding gender-based violence. The resolution, signed on October 20, 2026, by María del Ara Sánchez Vera, is published in the Official Gazette of Extremadura (DOE) number 206, of October 26, 2026, section III, with the official reference 2026062664.

The decision closes the call for the 2026 financial year for Modality A of the program, approved by the Resolution of July 8, 2026, of the General Secretariat of the Vice Presidency and Ministry of Presidency, Coordination of Government Action, Interior and Emergencies (DOE no. 142, of July 24). The regulatory bases are the Order of July 27, 2022 (DOE no. 145, of July 28), and the procedure is processed through a competitive bidding process in accordance with Law 6/2011, of March 23, on Subsidies of the Autonomous Community of Extremadura.

The credit for the call amounts to 300,000 euros, charged to the budget application 02 006 253A 48000, expenditure project 20210034 “State Pact against Gender-Based Violence”, fund TE25006001. It originates from transfers from the Ministry of Equality, through the Secretary of State for Equality and the Eradication of Violence against Women.

Fifteen applications and five inadmissions

15 applications were submitted in response to the call. Ten were admitted and five were rejected for failing to meet the requirements to hold the status of a beneficiary entity, as detailed in annex II of the resolution. The inadmissible ones are:

  • Asociación Comarcal de Mujeres «Ruta de la Plata» (PS005/2026), for 15,350 euros.
  • Asociación de Personas Consumidoras y Usuarias Virgen del Prado (PS008/2026), for 2,000 euros.
  • Asociación de Mujeres de Valdivia (PS012/2026), for 7,273.38 euros.
  • Proyecto Ominira (PS014/2026), for 19,000 euros.
  • Asociación Social y Cultural Ozanam (PS015/2026), for 30,000 euros.

The Evaluation Commission, constituted by resolution of July 28, 2026 (DOE no. 150, of August 5), evaluated the applications in a session on September 17 and ratified its report on October 5, following the ten-business-day period for allegations opened with the provisional proposal.

The nine funded projects

Annex I lists the beneficiary entities, their projects, and the amounts granted:

A waiver of 27,533.56 euros

During the express acceptance period, the Romis Calis Camelan Naquerar Association (NIF G06265953) submitted on October 6, 2026, its waiver of the proposed grant, amounting to 27,533.56 euros, for the project “PHENJALIPEN, Sisterhood among cousins.” The waiver releases those funds, although the resolution does not provide for their reallocation to the waiting list of entities that remained without aid due to budget exhaustion.

Each entity can receive a maximum of 30,000 euros, equivalent to 33% of the total credit of the call. The projects are framed within axes 1, 5, 6, 7, and 8 of the State Pact against Gender Violence approved in December 2017 and must be executed between January 1 and December 31, 2026.

Advance payment and justification

Payment will be made in a single advance payment for 100% of the amount, without the need for a guarantee, subject to accreditation of being up to date with state and regional Treasury and Social Security obligations. Beneficiaries must communicate the start of activities within ten days and present the justification account within a maximum period of three months from the completion of the project.

Entities are obliged to disseminate that the project is financed with credits from the Ministry of Equality within the framework of the State Pact, using the official logo and identification plaque. The resolution ends the administrative route and allows for a motion for reconsideration within one month or a contentious-administrative appeal within two months before the High Court of Justice of Extremadura.

The publication closes the distribution of grants that support the work of women’s associations and federations in the prevention of sexist violence in rural, digital, and youth environments, and leaves five projects without funding due to administrative formal defects and one due to express waiver.
