Extremadura authorizes three pig farms and a crematorium

The Official Gazette of Extremadura (DOE) number 165, dated August 26, 2026, publishes four resolutions from the General Directorate of Sustainable Management and Forestry Policy providing public notice of respective unified environmental authorizations. Three of them correspond to pig farms in Guijo de Granadilla (Cáceres), La Parra, and Azuaga (Badajoz), and the fourth to the installation of a cremation oven in a funeral home in Almendralejo (Badajoz).
The public notice resolutions, signed on August 18, 2026, by the general director Juan Eloy Rodríguez Ucedo, are issued in compliance with article 16.10 of Law 16/2015, of April 23, on environmental protection of the Autonomous Community of Extremadura, which requires the environmental body to publish the resolution granting, denying, or modifying the unified environmental authorization in the official gazette.
Three pig farms authorized
The unified environmental authorizations for the pig farms were granted through resolutions dated August 13, 2026. The projects and their promoters are as follows:
- Explotaciones Ventaquemada, SL, pig farm in the municipality of Guijo de Granadilla (Cáceres), reference 2026062176.
- Mesto 2015, SL, pig farm in the municipality of La Parra (Badajoz), reference 2026062178.
- Manuel Ángel Manchón Paniagua, pig farm in the municipality of Azuaga (Badajoz), reference 2026062180.
A cremation oven in Almendralejo
The fourth resolution provides public notice of the unified environmental authorization granted on August 3, 2026, for the project to install a cremation oven in a funeral home, promoted by Tanatorio Almendralejo, SA, in the municipality of Almendralejo (Badajoz), with reference 2026062177.
