Por FactBox Admin

The Regional Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Natural Environment of the Regional Government of Extremadura has published in the Official Gazette of Extremadura (DOE) number 162, dated August 21, 2026, an announcement publicizing the notification notices of the hearing process regarding the granting of aid for the financing of loans to holders of agricultural holdings affected by drought. The announcement, signed on August 10, 2026, is disseminated under the official reference 2026081419.

Potential beneficiaries are holders of rain-fed cereal, olive grove, and vineyard agricultural holdings, as well as bovine, ovine, caprine, porcine, equine, and apicultural livestock holdings located in Extremadura. The aid consists of the total subsidization of the interest on loans formalized by these individuals.

Regulatory Framework

The call for applications is based on Chapter VI of Decree-Law 3/2023, of May 17, which regulates exceptional temporary aid for holders of agricultural holdings affected by drought, published in DOE no. 96, of May 22, 2023. Article 6 thereof establishes the single call for these direct grants.

Section 6.7 of Article 6 provides that all acts, both procedural and resolutory, shall be notified to the interested parties through the Laboreo platform. Section 9.6 adds that notifications will be carried out by electronic means, and interested parties are obliged to consult them diligently.

Deadline and Documentation

After examining the status of the files, the interested parties listed in the annex are required to provide the requested documentation within a non-extendable period of 15 calendar days from the day following the notification. The documentation must be sent to the Head of the Agricultural and Livestock Production Service of the Ministry, in accordance with the Single Registry system of the Administration of the Autonomous Community of Extremadura, at the locations provided for in Decree 257/2009, of December 18, or those in Article 16.4 of Law 39/2015 on the Common Administrative Procedure.

It is warned that, if the supporting documentation is not presented, an ex officio verification will be carried out for the final time after the deadline has passed and, if the non-compliance persists, an unfavorable resolution will be issued denying the aid for the third annual installment. Individual notifications can be consulted on the Laboreo platform (https://laboreo.juntaex.es/).

Affected Holders

The annex of the announcement lists the holders to whom the hearing process is communicated:

  • Iván Hidalgo Herranz
  • Guillermo Montero Rodríguez
  • Lorenzo Serrano Izquierdo
  • Pedro Cañamero Gómez
  • Ángel Velarde Tena
  • Gonzalo Sánchez González
  • María José Villares Poderoso
  • Juan Francisco Cintas García

The announcement appears signed by the Head of the Agricultural and Livestock Production Service, by substitution, Emilio González Bornay, Head of the Agricultural Sector Planning Section, in accordance with Instruction 5/2025 of the General Secretariat, dated September 16.

Relevance for the sector

This publication is key for the regional agricultural sector, as the hearing process is the preliminary step before the final resolution of grants that alleviate the financial burden on the farms most affected by the drought. The affected holders must act swiftly to avoid losing the right to interest subsidization for the third annual period.
