Extremadura opens public consultation on wine export aid
Por FactBox Admin

The Regional Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Natural Environment of the Junta de Extremadura has opened a consultation, hearing, and public information process regarding the draft decree that modifies Decree 151/2022, of December 21, which regulates aid for the promotion and communication of wine in third countries. The decision is detailed in a Resolution of August 21, 2026, from the General Secretariat, published in the Official Gazette of Extremadura (DOE) number 165, of August 26, 2026, with reference 2026062202.
The deadline for submitting allegations is seven business days, counting from the day following the publication of the project on the Junta’s Transparency Portal. The text directly affects Extremaduran wineries and producers that export wine, as it establishes the complementary rules for the Viticultural Sectoral Intervention within the framework of the Strategic Plan for the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) and launches the first call for the EAGF 2024 financial year.
Purpose of the modification
The draft decree updates Decree 151/2022, of December 21, which sets the complementary rules for aid for promotion and communication activities carried out in third countries. The reform incorporates the first call for this aid for the EAGF 2024 financial year, funded by the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund.
The processing is supported by Article 24.1 of Decree-Law 3/2021, of March 3, on urgent measures for the modernization of the Public Administration and for the execution of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, published in DOE number 45, of March 8.
How to participate in the consultation
Any natural or legal person may examine the project and submit allegations or suggestions through the following means:
- Through any of the channels determined by Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure.
- Via the email address dgayg.agmn@juntaex.es.
- By consulting the text on the Transparency Portal of the Junta de Extremadura, at http://gobiernoabierto.juntaex.es/.
Where to consult the file
The draft decree will be on display, during the days of the process, from 10:00 to 14:00 hours at the offices of the Agricultural and Food Quality Service of the Regional Ministry, located at Luis Ramallo Avenue, s/n, in Mérida (Badajoz). The resolution is signed by the Secretary General, José M.ª Guerrero Pérez.
The public consultation represents an opportunity for wineries, cooperatives, and wine producers from Extremadura—the primary recipients of these foreign promotion grants—to influence the regulation before its final approval. The outcome will determine access to the EAGF 2024 European funds for the internationalization of the region’s wine in third-country markets.
