Scope of the reform
The modification of the General Regulation for the Entry of Personnel directly affects all selection processes for access to the Extremaduran public service; therefore, the reform is of particular interest to both applicants for public positions as well as trade unions and professional organizations in the sector. The resolution is signed by the General Secretary, Inmaculada Núñez Arroyo, in Mérida, on September 3, 2026.
The opening of this hearing process constitutes a mandatory preliminary step in the processing of the decree, which must incorporate the accepted allegations before its final approval by the Governing Council. For the thousands of candidates and public employees in the region, the reform will define the rules of the game for future selection processes; therefore, citizen participation in this phase is key to adjusting the regulation to the real needs of the Extremaduran administration.
