Por FactBox Admin

The Vice Presidency and Ministry of the Presidency, Coordination of Government Action, Interior and Emergencies of the Junta de Extremadura has opened the public hearing and information process for Decree-Law 5/2026, of September 1, regarding extraordinary aid and other urgent measures for the recovery of areas affected by the forest fires that occurred in Extremadura during the summer of 2026 and regarding forest fire prevention. This is stated in the Resolution of September 9, 2026, of the General Secretariat, published in the Official Gazette of Extremadura this Monday, September 14.
The deadline for submitting allegations or suggestions is seven business days starting from the day following the publication of the resolution in the official bulletin. Any natural or legal person may examine the decree-law and formulate the observations they deem appropriate, prior to its validation by the Assembly of Extremadura.
Regulatory Framework and Background
The opening of the process is supported by articles 65.1 and 66.3 of Law 1/2002, of February 28, of the Government and Administration of the Autonomous Community of Extremadura. The decree-law was previously drafted and published in DOE no. 174, of September 9, and is now subject to a hearing before its possible parliamentary validation.
The use of the abbreviated process is justified, according to the resolution, by the nature of the regulation, which responds to the urgency of assisting those affected by the forest fires of the summer of 2026 and reinforcing prevention throughout the region.
