Extremadura pays out grants for the establishment of young farmers

The Regional Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Natural Environment of the Junta de Extremadura has published in the Official Gazette of Extremadura number 160, dated August 19, 2026, three announcements communicating the payment resolution for grants for the establishment of young farmers and the modernization of agricultural holdings. The announcements, signed on August 12, 2026, by the Head of the Structural Aid Service, Antonio Jesús Pi Pérez, include the list of holders whose files have been approved following the study, verification, and assessment of the payment applications submitted.

The approval resolutions, issued by the Director General of Common Agricultural Policy, are notified individually through the LABOREO platform, and interested parties may view their content at laboreo.juntaex.es. Against these resolutions, which do not exhaust administrative remedies, an appeal for reversal (recurso de alzada) may be filed within one month before the head of the Regional Ministry or the Director General of Common Agricultural Policy, in accordance with Law 1/2002 and Law 39/2015, and appeals may be submitted through the ARADO platform.

Two regulatory frameworks for generational renewal

The payments are processed under two different regulations. Decree 56/2023, of May 24 (DOE number 117, of June 20), establishes the regulatory bases for grants for the establishment of young farmers and the call for applications for the 2023 financial year. For its part, Decree 169/2024, of December 30 (DOE number 13, of January 21, 2025), regulates both the establishment of young farmers and investments in the modernization and improvement of holdings, and launches the first call for both grants.

Beneficiaries of Decree 56/2023

The announcement with reference 2026081407 lists the holders who are notified of the payment of the establishment grant under Decree 56/2023, with a total of 45 beneficiaries, including:

The announcement with reference 2026081408 lists 24 holders receiving the payment per establishment under Decree 169/2024, including Carlos Moro Báez, Tomás Velarde Moreno, Israel Durán Mota, Irene Camarero Recio, Borja Parra Martín, Roberto Gamayo Vázquez, Tamara Manso Gonzálvez, Manuel García Rodríguez, Laura Aguilera Cano, Lucas Navarro Castaño, Rebeca Serrano Martín, Francisco Javier Moreno Bastida, Diego Gamayo Suárez, Miguel Ángel Hernández Corriols, Juan Carlos Jiménez Calderón, Ignacio and Marta Robles Torres, Julián Hernández Gonzalo, Ana Cristina Talaverán Díaz, Agustín Vivas Melchor, Germán Macías Román, Carlos Aguilar Lozano, Josué Gómez Castellano and María González Fernández.

Boosting agricultural generational renewal

With these resolutions, the Junta de Extremadura materializes the payment of more than a hundred grants intended for young people to establish themselves as holders of agricultural holdings and to modernize their facilities, a decisive step to curb the aging of the sector and guarantee generational renewal in the Extremaduran countryside. Beneficiaries should look out for the individual notification in LABOREO and, if applicable, exercise their right to appeal within one month.
