The Department of Housing has published notices for Gaztelagun subsidies in Álava and Gipuzkoa

The Department of Housing and Urban Agenda of the Basque Government has notified the correction requirements and resolutions for Gaztelagun rental assistance files in Álava and Gipuzkoa. The two official announcements were published in the Official Gazette of the Basque Country (BOPV, issue 196) on October 14, 2026, with official references 2026/4270 and 2026/4271. Since personal notification could not be carried out, the Administration has used the public route, following the provisions of Article 44 of Law 39/2015.

Gaztelagun program and Alokabide’s role

Gaztelagun is the Basque Government’s rental assistance program, managed by the public company Alokabide. The grants are aimed at people renting housing on the free market, and each file may have a different processing status: a favorable resolution, a denial, withdrawal, archiving, or a resolution to return the subsidy.

In this case, the two territorial delegations —Álava and Gipuzkoa— provide notification of these proceedings, attaching a list of persons for whom individual notification could not be made. The announcements are located in the “Other official announcements” section of the Department of Housing and Urban Agenda.

Álava files: four notifications

The announcement signed by the territorial delegate of Álava, LEIRE URCOLA ALBERDI (2026/4270), issued in Vitoria-Gasteiz on September 25, 2026, includes four files. Each reference corresponds to a type of resolution:

• 58043557K — reference 29955 — favorable resolution.
• 71351936W — reference 30083 — archived, due to withdrawal.

Gipuzkoa files: another four notifications

The announcement signed by the territorial delegate of Gipuzkoa, ALFONSO SANZ ARAUJO (2026/4271), issued in Donostia on September 25, 2026, includes another four files:

• 34372198D — reference 10250 — initial resolution for reimbursement, without the obligation to return.
• Y7450394H — reference 29098 — withdrawal.
• X5971028K — reference 29725 — denial resolution.
• Y5854585H — reference 30584 — favorable resolution.

Where to consult and when it takes effect

Interested parties may consult the full text of the resolutions at Alokabide’s customer service offices:

As stated in the announcements, the notifications will take effect from the day following their publication and will serve as individual notification for each of the listed interested parties.

Background: the usual process of recent months

Similar advertisements are common in the Gaztelagun program. In recent weeks, the Biscay territorial representation has also published similar notices, among others on October 9, 2026, and September 2 and 3; those of Gipuzkoa, on the other hand, on August 27, and those of Álava on the same day. This practice demonstrates the subsidiary route used by the Administration when personal notification cannot be carried out.

This publication has a direct effect on the eight listed persons, as it specifies the status of their aid files: some must return the grant, others have received a denial, and others a favorable resolution. Deadlines and appeal procedures are calculated based on the text of the resolution, and therefore it is essential that the interested parties consult the documentation available in the Alokabide offices as soon as possible.
