Estepa de San Juan approves its municipal budget for 2026

The City Council of Estepa de San Juan has definitively approved the General Budget for the 2026 fiscal year, as no claims were filed during the public exhibition period. The agreement, which includes the entity’s budget, the Execution Bases, and the Personnel Staffing Table, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Soria, number 104, dated September 7, 2026 (reference BOPSO-104-07092026).
The approval is processed in accordance with Article 169 of Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5, which approves the Recast Text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries, and Article 20 of Royal Decree 500/1990, of April 20. The document, signed on July 15, 2026, by the mayor, Miguel Ángel Muñoz Matute, contains the budget summary by chapters.
A balanced budget of 88,662.50 euros
The budget presents an exact balance between expenditures and revenues, with a total of 88,662.50 euros in both statements. The bulk of the expenditure is concentrated in capital operations, while revenues are primarily supported by patrimonial resources and capital transfers.

Personnel Staffing Table
Along with the budget, the City Council’s Personnel Staffing Table is published, structured into three blocks: career civil servants, permanent contractual staff, and temporary contractual staff. The document details for each position the designation, number of vacancies, group, scale, sub-scale, and category, as well as the corresponding observations.
Appeals against the agreement
A contentious-administrative appeal may be filed directly against the definitive approval of the budget, in the form and within the timeframes established by current regulations, as provided for in Article 171 of Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5.
The publication in the official gazette makes the agreement final and allows the municipality of Estepa de San Juan to execute its expenses and investments throughout 2026, with a real investment allocation of 66,830 euros that constitutes the main driver of the fiscal year for this small Soria municipality.
