Education calls for Erasmus+ VET mobility grants

An order from the Minister of Education calls for grants of 500,000 euros to co-finance KA1 mobility activities of the Erasmus+ program for the 2026-2027 academic year, for Vocational Training (FP) teachers and students. The order was published in issue number 158 of the Official Gazette of the Basque Country (BOPV) on August 20, 2026, with official reference 2026/3662.
The call responds to the proposal call (EAC/A12/2025, C/2025/6080) published by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Education and Culture in the Official Journal of the European Union on November 12, 2025. The program will be applied during the 2021-2027 period, and this call includes activities in the field of Vocational Training.
Purpose of the grants and beneficiaries
The grants are intended to co-finance mobilities within KA1 mobility projects approved by SEPIE, provided they are carried out in the 2026-2027 academic year. The beneficiaries are FP teachers and students, and the purpose of the call is to promote the 5th axis of the FP Euskadi 2030 strategy, “Global Euskadi: internationalization and globalization.”
- Applicant entity: The private legal person who submits the application to the Department of Education.
- Beneficiary entity: The entity that becomes the holder of the grant following the procedure.
- Participants: FP teachers and students who undertake the mobilities, without being beneficiaries or applicants.
Types of mobility and conditions
Mobilities for students and teachers of higher-level FP KA1 projects may be co-financed, and only mobilities for teachers of other FP KA1 projects. Beneficiaries may not receive any other grant for the same purpose, whether managed by the Basque Government or the Government of Spain.
Application and deadlines
Applications must be submitted within one month starting from the day following the publication of the order in the BOPV, and must be processed electronically through the euskadi.eus portal. Applications may be submitted in Basque or Spanish, at the applicant’s choice.
- Application form and documentation: Annex I, II and III.
- The annex of the agreement approved by SEPIE must be submitted.
- If the application is incomplete, a period of 10 days will be given to correct the errors.
Payment and monitoring
The grant will be provided in two payments: 40% as an advance, after the grant is approved, and 60% once the mobility has been completed and the justification documentation has been received. Eligible expenses are travel and accommodation costs, and the amount of the grant will be determined according to the duration and destination of the mobilities.
The Vice-Counselor for Vocational Training will issue the provisional and definitive resolution, as proposed by the Directorate of Digital Transformation and Advanced Learning. The resolution must be published within 3 months starting from the day following its publication in the BOPV, on the Electronic Notice Board.
This call aims to promote the internationalization of Vocational Training (FP) teachers and students within the Erasmus+ program, and is one of the main axes of the Euskadi Global strategy. The grants have a budget of 500,000 euros, and, as it is not competitive, a proportional distribution will be made among all requests if the credit is insufficient.
