Els Mossos publiquen la llista definitiva per a deu places d'intendent

The Department of Interior and Public Safety has approved and made public the definitive list of persons admitted and excluded from the competitive examination called to fill ten positions in the category of superintendent of the superior scale of the Mossos d’Esquadra, call 54/26. The resolution is dated October 13, 2026, and is signed, by delegation, by the general secretary Joana Ricardo Hoyos. It is published in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat de Catalunya (DOGC) no. 9775, of October 19, 2026, in the Positions and Personnel section, with the official reference CVE-DOGC-A-26287032-2026.

The process begins with Resolution ISP/2054/2026, of June 22, published in DOGC no. 9695, of June 29, 2026, which approved the regulatory bases of the call via competitive examination for these ten positions. On September 10, the provisional list of admitted and excluded persons and the list of persons exempt from the Catalan language knowledge test were made public, through Resolution ISP/3130/2026, of September 1, published in DOGC no. 9749. Once the deadline to correct defects or complete documentation has expired, base 5.3 of the call requires the approval of the definitive list, which is now made effective with Resolution ISP/3681/2026.

Definitive lists and reasons for exclusion

The resolution approves two documents. On one hand, the definitive list of admitted and excluded persons, which differentiates between positions reserved for women and the remaining positions of each of the shifts and indicates, in each case, the reasons for exclusion. On the other, the definitive list of persons who are exempt from taking the Catalan language knowledge test.

The complete lists are not incorporated into the text published in the DOGC: they can be consulted on the electronic board of the Generalitat de Catalunya, tauler.gencat.cat, and also on the Mossos d’Esquadra website. The DOGC does not detail the total number of admitted or excluded persons, data that only appears in these two publicity channels.

First test on October 23 in Mollet del Vallès

The resolution also calls for the first test of the opposition phase, the knowledge test, provided for in base 6.1.1 of the call, for the definitively admitted persons. The conditions are as follows:

  • Date: October 23, 2026.
  • Time: 4:00 PM.
  • Location: Public Safety Institute of Catalonia (ISPC), C-17 road (Barcelona-Ripoll), km 13.5, 08100, Mollet del Vallès.
  • Classroom: the one indicated for each person in the list of summoned persons.

Notification, deadlines, and appeals

In accordance with article 45.1.b) of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the common administrative procedure of public administrations, the publication of the resolution and the publicity of the lists are equivalent to notification to the interested parties and mark the beginning of the period for possible claims.

The resolution ends the administrative route. Interested parties may file:

  • An appeal for reversal (recurso de reposición) before the same body that issued it, within a period of one month from the day following its publication in the DOGC, according to articles 123 and 124 of Law 39/2015 and article 77 of Law 26/2010, of August 3.
  • Directly, a contentious-administrative appeal before the contentious-administrative jurisdiction, within a period of two months, in accordance with article 46 of Law 29/1998, of July 13.

The jurisdictional framework of the resolution is based on article 22 of Decree 28/1986, of January 30, of the Personnel Selection Regulations of the Administration of the Generalitat; on article 20.2 of Law 10/1994, of July 11, of the Police of the Generalitat – Mossos d’Esquadra; on article 3.i) of Decree 157/1996, of May 14; and on Decree 133/2024, of August 11, which renamed the department as Interior and Public Security. The signature corresponds to the general secretary by the delegation granted by Resolution INT/81/2011, of January 18.

This step is decisive for candidates for the superior scale of the corps: it closes the administrative purification phase of the process and opens a very short calendar, with the knowledge test only four days after the publication in the DOGC. Any error or exclusion not corrected within the previous period is now consolidated, and anyone wishing to dispute it must do so via an appeal for reversal or, directly, before the contentious-administrative jurisdiction.
