The Els Hostalets de Pierola City Council has initially approved the valued report for the renovation of the municipal cemetery, an action of local interest published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Barcelona (BOPB) on August 28, 2026. The resolution, issued by the Mayor’s Office-Presidency on August 27, 2026, sets a contract execution budget of €21,554.06 (including 21% VAT). The file will be open for public inspection for thirty days so that residents may submit allegations.

An action of local interest

The file, identified by number 2026CT22_1364, was drafted by the municipal technical services and is being processed as an ordinary matter. The valued report defines the works necessary for the renovation of the municipal cemetery, a public service infrastructure that requires maintenance and improvement.

The processing is governed by Article 37 of the regulation on works, activities, and services of local entities, which establishes the public exhibition procedure for this type of action.

Exhibition period and allegations

The file will be open for public inspection for thirty days, starting from the day after the last of the publications in the BOPB, on the municipal website, and on the City Council’s notice board. During this period, interested parties may examine the documentation and formulate any allegations they deem appropriate.

  • Place of exhibition: municipal offices of the Department of Urban Planning and Environment and the municipal website www.elshostaletsdepierola.cat/urbanisme.
  • Deadline: thirty days from the last publication.
  • Effect: if there are no allegations or claims, the initial approval will become final without the need for further agreement.

Publication of the final approval

Once the exhibition period has elapsed without allegations, the final approval of the report will be published in the BOPB, the Official Gazette of the Generalitat de Catalunya (DOGC), and on the City Council’s notice board. The resolution is signed by Daniel Vendrell Domínguez, acting mayor, dated August 27, 2026.

The action represents a municipal investment of over 21,500 euros aimed at improving a public service facility essential for the municipality. Citizen participation during the public exhibition period is key to ensuring the transparency of the process and the correct execution of the works.
