November 29 Elections: Final polling stations and venues in Cantabria
Por FactBox Admin

The Official Gazette of Cantabria publishes this Monday, in issue number 210, the definitive list of sections, polling stations, and electoral venues in Cantabria for the General Court elections on November 29, 2026 (CVE-2026-8504). The list replaces, with the modifications already incorporated, the one displayed on October 12. It is issued by the Electoral Census Office and signed by its delegate in Cantabria, Sofía Muriedas García.
The publication responds to the mandate of article 24.2 of Organic Law 5/1985 on the General Electoral Regime. On October 12, the extraordinary BOC number 26 had already disseminated the provisional list, signed on October 8 with the identifier CVE-2026-8013. Now, “the list of Polling Stations and Electoral Venues having been modified,” the gazette republishes the complete document, with the 22 pages ranging from 55976 to 55997, so that there is only one current version.
The list is organized under the heading “9. Elections,” with the process identified as “General Court Elections of November 29, 2026” and the province of Cantabria. Each line provides six pieces of data: municipality, district, section, polling station, surname letter range, and the name and address of the electoral venue.
What the definitive list contains
- Municipality, district, section, and polling station: the minimum voting unit, identified by number and letter.
- Letter range: the distribution of the census for each polling station by the initial of the first surname, with ranges such as “A - F”, “G - N”, or “O - Z”.
- Venue name: schools, town halls, civic centers, clinics, schools, and sports centers.
- Full location: street, number, and postal code, allowing the voting point to be located without ambiguity.
A final note specifies the scope of the document: the boundaries of sections and polling stations are those established for the Electoral Census closed on August 1, 2026, and can be consulted at the corresponding town hall and at the Provincial Delegation of the Electoral Census Office.
Santander, Torrelavega, and the coast, where polling stations are concentrated
The territorial organization distributes the province into districts starting from 01 onwards. Santander is the municipality with the largest deployment, with eight districts and a network of venues that includes the Town Hall at Plaza del Ayuntamiento, the Exhibition and Congress Palace, the Riva-Herrera Palace, Finca Altamira, the Cazoña Civic Center, and I.E.S. Santa Clara.
- Torrelavega: five districts and venues such as the Plaza de Abastos, the I.E.S. Garcilaso de la Vega, the Colegio Cervantes, and the Colegio José María Pereda.
- Castro-Urdiales: three districts, with the Edificio del Royal, the Casa del Mar, and the IES 8 de Marzo.
- Camargo: two districts and the Pabellón Polideportivo Pedro Velarde, in Muriedas.
- Laredo, Reinosa, Santoña, and Suances: two districts each, with venues such as the Colegio Antares and the Edificio La Casona in Reinosa or the IES Juan José Gómez Quintana in Suances.
- El Astillero: a single district, but nine numbered tables, hosted at the Colegio Fernando de los Ríos and the I.E.S. Astillero.
Tables split by surname and unique venues in rural areas
In small municipalities, the single table with a “A - Z” range predominates, installed in the town hall, the school, or the clinic: this is the case for Alfoz de Lloredo, with the Consultorio de San Roque and the Colegio Público Quirós; and for Arenas de Iguña, Anievas, Saro, Tudanca, Ruiloba, and Valdáliga, among others.
Where the census is larger, the table is fragmented by letters within the same venue. This occurs, for example, in Ampuero, whose tables 001 and 002 are divided into “A - F”, “G - N”, and “O - Z” ranges at the Colegio Público Miguel Primo de Rivera, or in Polanco, with the Pabellón Polideportivo and the Colegio de Requejada distributing voters by the initial of their surname.
The appointment applies to all citizens: the final list is the reference to know at which table and venue to vote on November 29 and where the persons designated as table members must report. Any doubt regarding section boundaries or the assigned venue is resolved at the respective town hall and at the Provincial Delegation of the Electoral Census Office.
