El Vendrell approves the provisional list of admitted candidates for five janitor positions

The City Council of El Vendrell has approved the provisional list of admitted and excluded candidates for the competitive examination to fill 5 permanent job positions for janitors. The resolution, signed by Mayor Kenneth Martínez Molina via Mayoral Decree no. 4017/2026, dated August 28, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Tarragona (BOPT) on September 2, 2026, with reference CVE 2026-08216.

The process is part of the 2023 Public Employment Offer (OPO) and is processed as a competitive examination in the open category, with permanent employment status, under file GPER2026000248. The provisional list includes a total of 61 applications, of which 32 people have been admitted and 29 excluded.

A list with 32 admitted and 29 excluded

Among the admitted persons are, among others, Maria Vinyet Aleu Duque, Luis Arcadio Arcos Percy, Joana Barberena Aguilera, Marc Boireu Montané, David Brotons Mora, Encarnación Caballero Luque, Lluís Camell Rafols, Patricia Cañadillas Huertas, Iván Carretero Escobar, Sonia Clough Escolar, Raquel Collado Lorenzo, Montserrat Díaz López, Melissa Tamara Figueroa Pardo, Marc Folch Astudillo, José Manuel García Morilla, Enrique Giménez Ruiz, Dilan Guirao Olivella, Vicente Ivern Amurgo, Juan José López Godoy, Ibrahim Mernissi Hasnaoui, Jelen Daiana Park Segura, Mónica Sandra Reverte Marín, Joan Rovira Boronat, Gema Sánchez Perea, José Antonio Semis Rodríguez, Montserrat Sicart Berenguer, Gorka Suárez Suárez, María del Puy Tejero Trigo, Joaquín Teruel Marí, Jenni Urpí Rius, Isabel María Vaca Lavado, and Alfredo Valdivielso Romero.

Reasons for exclusion and deadline for corrections

The 29 excluded persons were so for four different reasons, which can be corrected within a period of ten business days starting from the day after publication in the BOPT:

• [1] Failure to provide or correctly prove the required qualification (Third Base, section c).
• [2] Failure to provide a valid identity document (Third Base, sections a and b).
• [3] Failure to submit the admission application and/or the responsible declaration duly signed (Fourth Base).
• [4] Failure to provide the negative certificate of sexual offense records (Third Base, section f).

Excluded persons can correct the requirements through the “My Registrations” section of the CONVOCA electronic platform, while admitted persons can correct defects via a generic request at the electronic office. The resolution is displayed on the municipal website, replacing individual notification, in accordance with article 45.1.b) of Law 39/2015.

Catalan test and qualifying tribunal

Persons admitted under the condition of “Non-Exempt”, for not having provided the B2 Catalan certificate, must pass the Catalan language test, which is mandatory and eliminatory, to be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at 9:00 AM at the Edifici Camí Reial (3rd floor, C/ Camí Reial, 17, El Vendrell). The Spanish language test will not be carried out, as the candidates have proven Spanish nationality.

The qualifying tribunal will be presided over by Ester Suárez Felipe (substitute Eva Gràcia Vera), with Valentí Usón Virgili, Àngels Santacana Figuerola, and Francesc Nieto Ordóñez as members, and Itzíar Díaz Sequera as secretary. Member 1 is pending appointment by the EAPC.

Process Calendar

The opposition phase is planned for November 2026, and the date of each exercise will be published on the City Council’s electronic headquarters, within the CONVOCA platform. Participants must present themselves at the tests with their ID, passport, or driver’s license, as well as the necessary materials.

The final resolution of the list of admitted and excluded persons will be published once the allegations have been resolved and the corrections verified, and it will also determine the date of the tribunal’s constitution.

This process is relevant for the 61 applicants and for the municipal staff as a whole, as the filling of 5 permanent janitor positions reinforces the staff of the El Vendrell City Council. Interested parties have ten business days to correct deficiencies and ensure their participation in a process that will culminate with the incorporation of new permanent labor personnel.
