El TSJ de Extremadura nombra juez de paz titular de Montánchez

The Governing Chamber of the High Court of Justice of Extremadura agreed to the appointment of Josué Antonio Solís Trejo as the titular justice of the peace of Montánchez, a town assigned to the Judicial District of Cáceres. The agreement was adopted in the session of September 21, 2026, and is made public via edict in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cáceres on Friday, October 2, 2026, with official reference BOP-2026-4609. The new titular must take office within twenty calendar days following the publication of their appointment.

The appointment is based on Article 20.1 of Regulation number 3/1995, of June 7, regarding Justices of the Peace, which sets a period of twenty calendar days for taking office, following an oath or promise before the judge of First Instance and Instruction of the District, or before the Dean if there are several. The edict was signed in Cáceres on September 24, 2026, by María Pilar García Rodríguez, Secretary of Government of the High Court of Justice of Extremadura.

The publication is part of a series of edicts from the same Governing Chamber, all derived from the session of September 21, 2026, and disseminated in the same issue of the provincial gazette, no. 0189, within Section IV - Administration of Justice. The edicts respond to processes for filling and renewing justice of the peace positions, a role whose election corresponds to the Plenary of each City Council in accordance with Articles 101 and 102 of the Organic Law of the Judiciary, as recalled by the municipal calls published in previous weeks.

The appointment of Montánchez

The edict identifies the position as titular justice of the peace of the town of Montánchez, within the Judicial District of Cáceres, and designates Josué Antonio Solís Trejo for the post. The document appears on page 22533 of the provincial gazette of October 2, 2026, and bears the official reference BOP-2026-4609.

The publication is carried out, according to the text itself, “for general knowledge and subsequent effects,” such that the agreement is formalized and takes effect from its dissemination in the official gazette of the province.
