The tribunal sets the physical tests for the 2026 Local Police applicants

The qualifying board of the unified selection process for Local Police Officers 2026 has established the order for conducting the tests of the competitive phase and has summoned the definitively admitted candidates to the physical fitness tests, which will be held on September 15, 16, 17, and 23, 2026, in Valladolid. This is stated in the Agreement of August 25, 2026, published in the Official Gazette of Castilla y León number 167, of August 28, 2026 (reference BOCYL-D-28082026-167-2).

The call is part of the selection process opened by Order MAV/482/2026, of May 26, and affects candidates from the city councils of the Community adhered to the agreement signed between the Regional Ministry of Environment, Housing, and Territorial Planning and the Regional Federation of Municipalities and Provinces for the coordination of the management of local police selection processes. The definitive list of admitted and excluded candidates was approved by the Civil Protection and Emergencies Agency through the Resolution of August 21, 2026 (B.O.C. y L. no. 163, of August 24, 2026).

Order of tests by shift

The board, constituted on August 25, has established a different calendar depending on the participation shift, in accordance with the seventh base (sections 7.2 and 7.3) of the call order:

• Mobility shift: 1st physical fitness tests; 2nd medical examination; 3rd psychological fitness tests.
• Free shift (general and reserved for professional military personnel of troops and sailors): 1st physical fitness tests; 2nd knowledge test (first and second exercises); 3rd psychological fitness test; 4th medical examination.

The date for the psychological fitness tests will be the same for both shifts.

Calendar and venues for physical tests

The physical fitness tests will take place over four days, with two different venues in the capital of Valladolid:

• From September 15 to 17, the track tests will be held: speed, lower body power, upper body power, and muscular endurance, at the facilities of the Ciudad Deportiva de Valladolid of the Municipal Sports Foundation of Valladolid (Carretera Valladolid-Renedo no. 23 A, 47011 Valladolid).
• On September 23, the swimming test (25 meters freestyle) will be carried out at the pool of the La Victoria sports complex (Calle Fuente El Sol no. 62, 47009 Valladolid).

The list containing the days and times for the candidates’ call-up is listed in Annex I of the agreement, published on the Junta de Castilla y León website and at the tribunal’s headquarters. The specific time for the swimming test will be communicated at least twenty-four hours in advance, depending on the candidates who have been found fit in the track tests, via the tribunal’s headquarters, the information telephone line 012, and the regional website.

Requirements and appeals

For the execution of the physical tests, candidates must comply with the terms set out in Annex II of the agreement, also published on the Junta’s website. Against the agreement, which does not exhaust the administrative route, an administrative appeal (recurso de alzada) may be filed before the Second Vice President within one month of its publication, in accordance with Article 121 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on Common Administrative Procedure. The agreement is signed by the president of the tribunal, Marta Blanco Sánchez, and the secretary, Sira Álvarez Martínez.

The publication of the calendar represents a decisive step for the hundreds of candidates in the Community aspiring to a position in the Local Police forces, by specifying the dates, venues, and the order of the tests that will determine their continuity in the selection process.
