El Tajo publica el pago de justiprecios de expropiación en Cifuentes

The Tagus Hydrographic Confederation has submitted the banking documentation to the Treasury to proceed with the payment of compensation in the form of fair price to the owners of eight estates in the municipality of Cifuentes. The amounts were set by the Provincial Jury of Compulsory Expropriation of Guadalajara and correspond to the compulsory expropriation file under the urgency procedure derived from the supply project for the future association of municipalities adjacent to the Entrepeñas and Buendía reservoirs. The announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Guadalajara, number 188, Friday, October 2, 2026, under file reference 03.399.001/2111.

The announcement is issued by the Tagus Hydrographic Confederation, a body dependent on the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, and is made public for the purposes provided for in Article 49 of the Compulsory Expropriation Regulations, which develops the Compulsory Expropriation Law of December 16, 1954.

According to the official text, the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge submitted the banking documentation to the Treasury on September 24, 2026, in order to effect the payment of the fair prices. The file corresponds to the power line phase of the supply project for the future water association of the municipalities adjacent to the Entrepeñas and Buendía reservoirs, in the provinces of Guadalajara and Cuenca.

The document was signed in Madrid on September 29, 2026, by the Secretary General, Álvaro Agustín de Torres Suárez, and includes an electronic verification code for validation on the gazette’s website.

Payment will be made via bank transfer to the account designated by the interested parties. Those amounts whose payment cannot be made effective through this means will be deposited in the General Deposit Fund (Caja General de Depósitos) at the disposal of the owners.

Once the interested parties rectify the circumstance that led to the consignment, the Tagus Hydrographic Confederation will proceed to carry out the appropriate procedures to make the payment effective.

Background: eleven estates from the same project

This announcement is added to another of similar characteristics published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Guadalajara, number 176, of September 15, 2026, in which the payment of fair prices to the owners of eleven estates in Cifuentes affected by the same supply project was communicated, in that case with the key 03.399.0012/2111 and with an authorization proposal signed on September 5, 2026.

The publication of these announcements responds to the obligation to publicize the payment of the fair prices fixed by the provincial appraisal body, so that the owners can be aware of the availability of the amounts and the conditions for receiving them.

The news directly affects the owners of the eight listed estates, who can now collect the compensations approved by the Provincial Jury of Forced Expropriation of Guadalajara for the impacts of the power line. The announcement also confirms the progress of the supply project for the centers surrounding Entrepeñas and Buendía, an infrastructure that affects several municipalities in Guadalajara and Cuenca and requires the Tagus Hydrographic Confederation to continuously process the expropriation files derived from its various phases.
