Por FactBox Admin

The Extremadura Public Employment Service (SEXPE) is increasing by 6,500,000.00 euros the credits for Program II “Aid for the maintenance of jobs for workers with disabilities in Special Employment Centers,” within the 2025/2026 call for grants to promote the employment of people with disabilities in the protected labor market of Extremadura. The announcement, published in the Official Gazette of Extremadura (DOE) number 180, dated September 17, 2026, raises the global amount of the call to 35,500,000.00 euros. The modification of the summary carries the official reference 2026062358 and the identifier BDNS 849157.
The origin of the call
The call that is now being reinforced was approved by the Resolution of July 23, 2025, of the General Secretariat, whose summary was published in the DOE number 149, dated August 4, 2025, and its full text can be consulted in the National Grants Database. The aid is governed by the regulatory bases for grants to promote the employment of people with disabilities in the protected labor market, approved by the Order of August 10, 2023 (DOE number 160, dated August 21, 2023).
The announcement is based on article 17.3.b and article 20.8.a of the General Grants Law 38/2003, of November 17, and articles 29.3 and 39.4 of the Grants Law 6/2011, of March 23, of the Autonomous Community of Extremadura, which require the modification of the expenditure file, following a report from the General Comptroller, and the publication in the DOE and on the Grants Portal of the resulting distribution of credits.
How the credits are distributed by annuality
The increase is distributed between the two years of validity of the call, with the following breakdown by programs and budgetary applications:
- 2025 Annuity: 6,992,967.77 euros.
- Program I: 374,495.42 euros.
- Program II: 6,599,873.02 euros, of which 949,876.50 euros correspond to application 140130000/G/242A/47000/TE24001001/20090229 and 5,649,996.52 euros to application 140130000/G/242A/47000/CAG0000001/20250438.
- Program III: 18,599.33 euros.
- Program IV: 0.00 euros.

- Program III: 431,400.67 euros.
- Program IV: 50,000.00 euros.
All amounts for Program II are assigned to the call file CONVO/2025/0000003640.
A reinforcement for special employment centers
Program II is the specific line intended to support jobs held by people with disabilities in Special Employment Centers, structures whose primary purpose is the labor integration of this group. With the expansion, this line now concentrates the majority of the call’s budget: 33,000,000.00 euros across the two annual periods, compared to 2,000,000.00 euros for Program I, 450,000.00 euros for Program III, and 50,000.00 euros for Program IV.
The announcement was signed in Mérida on September 5, 2026, by the Secretary General of the SEXPE, Nicolás Macías Manzanedo, by delegation of the Ministry of Economy, Employment and Digital Transformation (Resolution of May 29, 2026, DOE number 108, of June 8).
The decision also comes in a context of continuity: the call for the 2026 fiscal year for Programs I, II, and III, approved by the Resolution of July 30, 2026 and published in the DOE number 169, of September 1, 2026, already includes extraordinary application deadlines for those who were unable to apply in the previous call due to the expiration of its validity.
The budgetary reinforcement provides room for Extremadura’s Special Employment Centers to consolidate their staff and maintain the subsidy for jobs already held by people with disabilities, in a fiscal year where the previous call was expiring and the new one began with extraordinary deadlines. Therefore, the expansion does not create a new line, but rather ensures the continuity of the existing one with an additional 6.5 million.
