Sescam appoints Nuria López Ariztegui as head of Neurology in Toledo

The Castilla-La Mancha Health Service (Sescam) has appointed Nuria López Ariztegui as Head of the Neurology Service of the Specialized Care Management of Toledo. The decision is formalized through the Resolution of 10/06/2026 of the aforementioned Management, published in the Official Gazette of Castilla-La Mancha (DOCM) number 197, dated October 14, 2026, with the official reference 2026/7294. The appointment has a duration of four years.

The appointment complies with Decree 89/2005, of July 26, 2005 (DOCM number 151, of July 29), which regulates the provision of healthcare leadership positions within the Castilla-La Mancha Health Service. The position was announced by Resolution of 05/26/2026 of the Management itself (DOCM number 103, of June 2), following authorization from the General Directorate of Human Resources and Transformation of Sescam.

The resolution is issued following the binding proposal submitted by the Evaluation Commission, in accordance with base 7.2 of the call, and by virtue of the powers delegated by the Resolution of the General Management of Sescam of November 20, 2023 (DOCM number 233, of December 5), eighth section, number 9, letter b).

A four-year mandate with final evaluation

The duration of the appointment, in accordance with base 8.1 of the call and articles 9.1 and 11.1 of Decree 89/2005, shall be four years. At the end of this period, the head of the service will be evaluated for the purpose of their continuity in the position.

To apply for this continuity, the head of the service must express their desire to remain in the position at least three months prior to the expiration of the mandate.

Deadline for taking office

The deadline for taking office shall be one month from the day following the publication of this Resolution in the Official Gazette of Castilla-La Mancha, as established in the ninth base of the call.

The resolution was signed in Toledo on October 6, 2026, by the managing director, Sagrario de la Azuela Gómez.

Appeals against the resolution

The text exhausts the administrative route and opens two avenues for challenge:

• Contentious-administrative appeal before the Contentious-Administrative Section of the Court of First Instance of Toledo, in accordance with article 14.2 of Law 29/1998, of July 13, regulating the Contentious-Administrative Jurisdiction, within two months from the day following publication.
• Optionally, a request for reversal before the Specialized Care General Management of Toledo, within one month from the day following publication, according to articles 123 and 124 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations.
