The SAS resolves two merit-based competitions at the Virgen del Rocío.

The Andalusian Health Service (SAS) has made public the final resolutions of two merit-based competitions for the coverage of intermediate management positions at the Virgen del Rocío University Hospital in Seville. Both resolutions, signed on 12 August 2026 by the SAS General Directorate of Personnel, are published in issue 158 of the Official Gazette of the Andalusian Regional Government (BOJA), corresponding to Monday, 17 August 2026.

The two processes are processed under Article 12.2 of Decree 132/2021, of 6 April, which regulates the system for filling management positions and intermediate posts in SAS healthcare centres. The resolutions fall under the Regional Ministry of the Presidency, Health and Emergencies and are included in section 2.1 of the gazette, dedicated to appointments, situations and incidents.

Two competitions, two final resolutions

The first resolution, published on page 11087, resolves the merit-based competition for the position of Head of Management and Services Team (Ref. 9040) at the Virgen del Rocío University Hospital, announced by resolution of the SAS General Directorate of Personnel in BOJA No. 49, of 12 March 2026.

The second, published on page 11115, resolves the competition for the position of Technical Specialist Health Coordinator in Radiodiagnosis at the same centre, announced in BOJA No. 81, of 29 April 2026.

The appointed persons

• Yurena Sánchez Abreu has been designated for appointment as Head of Management and Services Team (Ref. 9040).
• Patricia Hurtado Cazorla has been designated for appointment as Technical Specialist Health Coordinator in Radiodiagnosis.

Both appointments are made following the resolution of the respective merit-based competitions, dated 11 August 2026, which are now made public in the BOJA.

Appeals and signature

Each resolution may be appealed by filing an administrative appeal before the competent General Directorate for personnel matters of the Andalusian Health Service. The documents appear signed in Seville, on 12 August 2026, by the Director General, acting (P.S.) under Resolution of 4 August 2026 of the SAS Managing Directorate: Antonio Luis Cansino Osuna, Director General of Healthcare and Health Outcomes.

The Virgen del Rocío University Hospital is the largest hospital complex in Seville and one of the leading healthcare centres in Andalusia, so the stable coverage of its intermediate management positions is key to the management of its services. With these publications, the SAS closes the resolution phase of both processes and opens the way to the effective appointment of the two professionals, who will take on the management headship and the technical coordination of radiodiagnosis at the hospital.
