Salud awards voluntary mobility to more than 150 healthcare workers

Por FactBox Admin

The Aragonese Health Service (SALUD) has definitively resolved the voluntary mobility procedure to fill statutory staff positions in four categories, according to four resolutions from the Management Directorate dated August 3, 2026, and published in the Official Gazette of Aragon number 160, of August 19, 2026. The definitive lists of awardees, including their scores and destinations, are published in section II (Authorities and Personnel), under the appointments, situations, and incidents section, of the Department of Health.

The resolutions, signed by José Julio Gil Pardo in his capacity as director of the Economic-Administrative Area (substituting for the managing director), approve the definitive list of awardees for the categories of Orderly, Physiotherapist, Intermediate-Level Qualified Technical Personnel in Occupational Risk Prevention, and Higher Technician in Pathological Anatomy and Cytology. Together, the annexes include nearly 160 professionals changing destinations within the community’s health centers.

Categories and calls

Each category is governed by its own call, published at the end of 2025:

  • Orderly (reference BOA20260819003): more than a hundred awardees, call from the Resolution of December 29, 2025 (BOA of January 12, 2026).
  • Physiotherapist (reference BOA20260819004): nearly thirty positions, call from the Resolution of December 19, 2025 (BOA of January 5, 2026).
  • Occupational Risk Prevention Technician (reference BOA20260819005): call of December 29, 2025.
  • Higher Technician in Pathological Anatomy and Cytology (reference BOA20260819006): call of December 29, 2025.

Cessations and taking office

For organizational and healthcare planning reasons, awardees must cease their current position and take office in the new one in staggered periods according to category:

  • Orderlies: cessation from October 5, 2026.
  • Physiotherapists and pathological anatomy technicians: cessation from September 28, 2026.
  • Risk prevention technicians: cessation from September 7, 2026.

The deadline for taking office is set at three business days if the current position and the awarded position are in the same province; fifteen business days if they belong to different provinces; and one month if the position corresponds to another health service. In the case of reinstatement to active service, the period will be one month from the opening of the term.

Transfer regime

The assigned destinations are non-waivable, unless the waiver is due to obtaining a position in another mobility procedure convened by another Public Administration. Transfers are voluntary and do not generate any right to compensation. Anyone who does not report to their destination within the established deadlines will be declared on voluntary leave for personal interest, in accordance with Article 37.5 of Law 55/2003, the Framework Statute for statutory personnel, except for justified causes recognized by the Administration.

The first three days of the possession period will be paid from the destination position when there is a change of center, according to Decree 37/2011 of the Government of Aragon. Against the resolutions, which do not end the administrative route, an administrative appeal (recurso de alzada) may be filed before the head of the Department of Health within one month of their publication.

The publication of these final assignments closes a process affecting hundreds of healthcare workers and reorganizes the staff of Aragonese hospitals and health centers for the final quarter of the year. For the professionals involved, it means the consolidation of a stable destination, while for the healthcare system, it guarantees the coverage of positions in sectors such as Zaragoza, Huesca, Teruel, Barbastro, Alcañiz, or Calatayud.
