Por FactBox Admin

The Aragonese Health Service has opened an open and permanent call for the temporary coverage of statutory positions in the category of Technician in Care for People in Situations of Dependency within its health centers. The decision was adopted by the Management Directorate of the organization through the Resolution of October 22, 2026, published in the Official Gazette of Aragon number 209, dated October 28, 2026, with the official reference BOA20261028011.
The call is issued in accordance with Article 33 of Law 55/2003, of December 16, of the Framework Statute of statutory personnel of health services, and in development of stipulation 5.1 of the Unions-Aragonese Health Service Pact of February 20, 2008. Its objective is the creation of lists to meet the temporary staffing needs of this category, which was created just one month prior via Order SAN/1371/2026, of September 14, published in the Official Gazette of Aragon number 187, dated September 25, 2026 (BOA20260925002), which classified it as statutory management and services personnel of subgroup C2.
A newly created category with specific functions
Order SAN/1371/2026, signed by the Minister of Health, Ángel Sanz Barea, created the category within the professional family of Sociocultural and Community Services, with an Intermediate Vocational Training level, and established its legal regime, access, and functions. The profile is qualified to care for people with loss of autonomy in home and institutional settings, performing non-health care, psychosocial, and domestic management support activities.
Its functions include:
- Collaborating in the rehabilitation tasks indicated in the Personal Recovery Plan.
- Performing personal hygiene and dressing tasks, promoting autonomy in daily life.
- Organizing interventions related to nutrition and supervising menus.
- Accompanying in administrative and economic procedures.
- Applying prevention and security measures in the home or care center.
- Carrying out home visits for follow-up and patient reintegration.
- Supporting the process of insertion and maintenance in the workplace.
The order itself stipulated that, immediately upon the creation of the category, the Aragonese Health Service would generate the new temporary employment pool and that the health sectors would compile the lists for temporary internal promotion.
Requirements and submission of applications
To participate, it is necessary to hold the Intermediate Vocational Training degree of Technician in Care for People in Situations of Dependency, in accordance with Order ECD/842/2024, of July 25, or the degree of Technician in Sociosanitary Care, declared equivalent by Royal Decree 1593/2011, of November 4. Homologated qualifications obtained abroad and persons in a position to obtain the degree within the application submission period are also admitted.
General requirements include:
- Being sixteen years of age and not exceeding the compulsory retirement age.
- Spanish nationality, nationality of a European Union member state, or assimilated cases.
- Possessing the functional capacity necessary for the performance of the duties.
- Not having been dismissed from service through disciplinary proceedings in the previous six years.
- Not holding the status of permanent statutory personnel in the convened category.
Applications are formalized exclusively electronically via the Human Resources Electronic Portal of the Aragonese Health Service, using a digital certificate or permanent Cl@ve, and applicants must register the type of working day and the workplaces of interest at that time.
Deadlines, scale, and appeals
The call is open and permanent: registrations and the submission of merits can be carried out at any time, although each list will only include those who have submitted their application and merits before the cutoff dates. For the first list, merits registered within one month from the publication in the Official Gazette of Aragon will be considered.
The assessment will be made using the unified scale approved by the Pact of the Health Sectoral Table published in the Official Gazette of Aragon number 219, of November 15, 2017. Following the provisional list of admitted and excluded candidates, there will be ten business days to rectify errors, and another ten to appeal the provisional assessment of merits. An administrative appeal (recurso de alzada) may be filed against the resolution before the head of the Department of Health within one month. The document was signed in Zaragoza on October 22, 2026, by the managing director of the Aragonese Health Service, José Ignacio Castaño Lasaosa.
The opening of this talent pool turns an Intermediate Level professional outlet, which until now had no specific fit within Aragonese healthcare, into accessible public employment: it provides immediate temporary coverage to health centers and consolidates the professional path of those who obtain the degree, in line with the articulation between training, qualification, and employment pursued by state and regional Vocational Training regulations.
