Por FactBox Admin

The Principality of Asturias has resolved the 2025 call for housing rental aid with 592 favorable applications, 263 denied, and 49 withdrawn among the 904 applications assessed. The resolution, signed on 31 July 2026 by the Director General for Housing, is published in the Official Gazette of the Principality of Asturias (BOPA) No. 157, of 14 August 2026 (reference 2026-06647).
The aid falls under Royal Decree 42/2022, of 18 January, which regulates the Young Rental Bonus and the State Plan for access to housing 2022-2025, and is governed by the regulatory bases approved on 2 February 2023 and by the call of the Regional Ministry of Spatial Planning, Town Planning, Housing and Citizens’ Rights of 30 September 2025 (BOPA No. 195, of 9 October 2025). On 29 September 2025, the Governing Council authorized expenditure of €14,722,367.01, co-financed by the State (€10,943,000) and by the autonomous community (€3,779,367.01), charged to budget line 13.04.431A.785.003.
Three aid lines and 904 applications
The resolution orders the granting, denial, and withdrawal of applications according to the line to which they were submitted:
- Line 1, rental aid programme for people with limited economic resources: 586 favorable, 256 denied, and 43 withdrawn.
- Line 2, for victims of gender-based violence, persons subject to eviction, homeless persons, and other especially vulnerable persons: 4 favorable and 1 denied.
- Line 3, for tenants in a situation of supervening vulnerability: 2 favorable, 6 denied, and 6 withdrawn.
€2.1 million granted
The total amount granted amounts to €2,116,848.69, charged to line 13.04.431A.785.003 of the 2026 General Budgets of the Principality of Asturias, with the following breakdown:
- Line 1: €2,085,098.69.
- Line 2: €21,050.
- Line 3: €10,700.
The aid covers up to 21 monthly payments of the eligible period, from January 2024 to September 2025, and is granted by delegation of powers to the Directorate General for Housing, with a limit of €18,000 per beneficiary.
Reductions, reasons for denial, and appeals
In some applications, not all monthly payments have been granted because one of the following circumstances applies, indicated in the annexes by superscripts:
- no registration on the municipal register at the rented dwelling during one or more months of the eligible period;
- failure to prove payment of the rent corresponding to one or more months;
- coexistence of an incompatible aid during the eligible period;
- existence of a lease contract, other than the current one, with rent higher than the maximum established.
Beneficiaries are obliged to communicate any modification of the conditions that motivated the granting of the aid. The resolution may be appealed by optional reconsideration within one month and by contentious-administrative appeal before the High Court of Justice of Asturias within two months from notification.
The resolution responds to 592 households with limited resources or in situations of special vulnerability, in a context of strong tension in the rental market, and guarantees the effective collection of the amounts recognised under the 2026 budget. The individualised list of beneficiaries, amounts and subsidisable periods is set out in Annexes I to VIII of the resolution.
