The Plenary of Posadas unanimously approves an industrial laundry

The Plenary of the City Council of Posadas unanimously approved the Mayoralty Proposal regarding the prior authorization for the legalization and expansion of an industrial laundry promoted by Lavandería Industrial de Posadas SL, with general file GEX 3095/2026. The agreement was signed by the Mayor, Emilio Martínez Pedrera, on 10 August 2026, and is published in the Official Bulletin of the Province of Córdoba of 17 August 2026, in reference document BOP-A-2026-2849, corresponding to section VI — Local Administration.

Background and processing

The proposal was favorably reported by the Permanent Informative Commission for Urban Planning on 23 July 2026 and submitted to the Plenary as a Mayoralty Proposal. The file includes the application from the interested cooperative society, the action project, the technical and legal reports, and proof of the public information procedure and the hearing granted to the owners of the property rights of the adjoining land.

The action is classified as extraordinary under articles 32.1.a) and 30.2.b).5º of the RGLISTA (Royal Legislative Decree 7/2015), regulations that allow the regularization of facilities in industrial estates in order to combat depopulation in rural areas.

Purpose and location of the laundry

The project affects a facility located at Camino del Cortijillo, s/n, on Plot 58, Polygon 10, at the “Rivero de Posadas” site, within the municipal area of Posadas. The action consists of the legalization and expansion of the existing industrial laundry.

The agreements approved by the Plenary are as follows:

• Approve the prior authorization for the extraordinary action for the legalization and expansion of the industrial laundry.
• Approve the action project submitted by the promoting company.
• Set the duration of the action as indefinite.
• Establish a compensatory payment of 10% on the material execution budget of the works, in accordance with article 22.5 of the LISTA (Law 19/2009, of 26 December).

Deadlines and appeals

The application for the urban planning license in accordance with the approved project must be submitted within a maximum period of one year from the resolution of the prior authorization procedure. The lapse of said period will determine the expiration of the authorization, which will be declared after a hearing is granted to the interested party.

The published agreement exhausts the administrative route. Against it, an optional appeal for reconsideration may alternatively be filed before the Plenary of the City Council within one month from the day following notification.

Approval by unanimity

The Presidency of the Plenary opened the debate period after the reading of the proposal. As no discussion arose, the proposal was put to a vote and approved unanimously by the thirteen council members legally comprising the Corporation. The document was signed by the mayor Emilio Martínez Pedrera and certified with the secure verification code FE2A BF3B 8DAC F3CF A874, with a signature date of August 17, 2026.

Impact for Posadas

The approval of this project allows the urban planning regularization of an existing industrial facility in the municipal district of Posadas, avoiding its potential closure and fostering economic activity in a town with rural characteristics. The industrial laundry, upon becoming legal, will consolidate its presence in Plot 10 and contribute to maintaining employment in the area.
