The Plenary of Córdoba initially approves the new protected housing registry

The Córdoba City Council has initially approved the draft of the new regulatory rules for the Municipal Registry of Applicants for Protected Housing, the instrument that organizes the list of candidates for protected housing in the city and is managed by the municipal company Vimcorsa. The agreement was adopted by the Plenary in an ordinary session on September 17, 2026, and is now published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Córdoba number 205, corresponding to October 22, 2026, via an edict with reference 220-26. The publication opens a 30-day public information period for submitting allegations.

Prior report and plenary majority

The file reached the Plenary with the report from the Commission for Urban Development, Sustainability, and Public Services dated September 10, 2026, which gave a favorable report on the modification of the registry’s regulatory rules. The matter was processed as item 23 on the agenda, under the heading of Housing and with agreement number 220/26.

After the debate, the vote resulted in 25 votes in favor and 4 abstentions. Support came from the municipal groups Popular (15), Socialist (7), and VOX (3), while the Hacemos Córdoba group abstained.

Three agreements and a thirty-day period

The certification from the Secretary General of the Plenary, José Alberto Alcántara Leonés, includes three specific resolutions:

• To initially approve the “Draft Regulatory Rules of the Municipal Registry of Applicants for Protected Housing of the Córdoba City Council.”
• To submit the agreement to public information via an announcement in the Official Gazette of the Province, on the City Council’s Notice Board, and on the Transparency Portal.
• To forward the agreement to Vimcorsa, the entity that manages the registry.

The public exhibition period is 30 days and is counted from the day following the publication of the edict, in accordance with Article 49 of Law 7/1985, of April 2, regulating the Bases of the Local Regime. The processing is further supported by Article 122.5, section d), of the same law and is subject to the provisions of Article 206 of the Regulation on the Organization, Operation, and Legal Regime of Local Entities.

The announcement was signed in Córdoba on October 20, 2026, by the General Administration Technician of the Housing Delegation, Irene Ramírez López, and has the approval of the Mayor-President.

The certification is issued, according to the published text, so that the agreement takes effect and proceeds to its communication, publication, and execution.

The update of the registry directly affects all persons registered in Córdoba who are waiting to access protected housing, as the regulations establish the requirements, the scoring system, and the order of the applicants. The public information period is the only formal way for individuals and groups to submit allegations before the text is definitively approved.
