The 48-megawatt Lindero wind farm is released for public consultation
Por FactBox Admin

The Territorial Service of Industry, Commerce, and Economy of Burgos, under the Ministry of Environment and Energy of the Regional Government of Castilla y León, has opened for public consultation the Lindero wind farm, with 48 megawatts, and its associated electrical installations. The announcement is published in the Official Gazette of Castilla y León (BOCYL) no. 213, dated November 4, 2026, with the official reference BOCYL-D-04112026-213-27 and case number PE/BU/002/2024. Interested parties have a period of 30 business days to submit allegations.
The procedure is being processed as a prior administrative authorization with an ordinary environmental impact assessment. The authority to resolve corresponds to the aforementioned territorial service, which signed the announcement in Burgos on October 26, 2026, through its head, María Dolores Velasco Lajo. The project falls under the self-consumption regime with surpluses, and its promoter is the company Lindero Wind, S.L.
Six wind turbines and 48 megawatts across ten municipalities
The planned installation consists of six wind turbines of the Envision EN182/8.0 MW model or similar characteristics, with a rotor diameter of 181.1 meters and a unit power of 8 megawatts. Three of the machines will have a hub height of 130 meters and the other three, 105 meters, totaling 48 megawatts of total installed power.
The evacuation line and the collection network are distributed among ten municipal districts of the Burgos region:
- Cayuela, Arcos de la Llana, Villariezo, Cogollos, and Estepar
- Villangómez, Albillos, Buniel, and Villalbilla de Burgos
- San Mamés de Burgos
From wind turbines to green ammonia
The generated energy will be collected via a 30-kilovolt underground network consisting of three circuits that converge at the SET Doña Elvira I transformer substation, 132/30 kilovolts. This substation will feature a 30-kilovolt single-bus collector system, SF6-insulated protection cells, a 50 MVA three-phase transformer, and an outdoor 132-kilovolt busbar system.
From there, a 132-kilovolt overhead line of approximately 14 kilometers will run to the SET Doña Jimena I collector substation, owned by Armonía Green Burgos, S.L. and the subject of another project and other authorizations.
The final destination of the production is the green ammonia plant in the El Parralejo industrial estate, in Melgar de Fernamental (Burgos), processed under case OT-25-14-Armonia Green. Surpluses will be evacuated to the transmission grid via connection to the Cotorros 400 kV substation, owned by Red Eléctrica de España, through the self-consumption and evacuation infrastructure promoted by Armonia Wind Burgos, S.L., whose project is also published in the same issue of the gazette.
Thirty business days and a 37 million budget
The budget for the wind farm and its associated facilities amounts to 37,059,935.57 euros. The processing complies with Law 24/2013, of December 26, on the Electricity Sector; Law 21/2013, of December 9, on Environmental Assessment; Royal Decree 1955/2000, of December 1, and Decree 46/2022, of November 24, which regulates the authorization procedures for electrical installations in Castilla y León.
Allegations may be submitted within a period of thirty business days starting from the day following the publication of the announcement. The documentation is available on the Energy and Mining Portal of Castilla y León (www.energia.jcyl.es) and at the offices of the territorial service, at Plaza de Bilbao, no. 3, Burgos.
The simultaneous publication of the wind farm and the large evacuation network connecting it to the Cotorros station outlines an energy corridor that will cross a large part of the Burgos outskirts. For the affected municipalities, the period now open is the first formal opportunity to make allegations regarding land occupation, the landscape impact of six wind turbines with rotors exceeding 180 meters, and the compatibility of the project with urban planning and the agricultural uses of the region.
